This beer poured a nice golden amber with a two finger high, creamy off-white head. The head dissipated slowly but remained around one finger high. Thick lacing was visible on the glass. The initial smell of the beer are spices, followed by pumpkin puree. The initial taste is not overwhelming and is rather subtle. The brew starts with a light flavor of pumpkin puree, which is followed by the light spices, followed by light malty flavor, and finishing with the taste of barley. The brew has a slight metallic character to it, which is a bit unexpected. Overall, the beer has a light to medium body with medium carbonation.
For the most part, this is an excellent beer. It's not too light, but not too heavy. Definitely a sessionable beer, however one seems to do just fine. I recommend trying this beer, as it is very similar to pumpkin pie.
