A: Pours a slightly hazy darkish orange, capped by one finger of off-white head. Retention is moderate as it recedes at a slow pace to spotty lacing and a ring of foam.
S: Very pumpkin-forward with a good dose of baking spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves are easily identifiable - along with a graham cracker character. Some light bitterness in the background.
T: Subtle pumpkin with much stronger spices - same cast of characters - up front, before an earthy bitterness takes over on the mid-palate. The spices return near the finish but the hops are too strong and detract from an otherwise enjoyable pumpkin ale.
M: Very light bodied with moderate carbonation, feels way too thin and watery.
D: Between the excess bitterness and thin moutfeel, it takes what would be a quaffable beer and knocks it down a couple notches.
