The Best By date is 10/8/13. I’m not sure how long that means the beer has been on the shelf.
The beer pours with a large white head in a gently hazy peachy orange.
The aroma has tons of sweet bready malt, a good amount of citrus. There’s some floral sweet notes. Definitely more East Coast because of the sweetness, but it surely has that huge hoppiness with the sweetness too.
The beer has sweetness floral and citrus in the front. And then there’s a bready malt in the middle that jumps up for a second. But then there’s a wonderful herbal, pine, tea bitterness that really creeps up on you and then leaves your tongue quite dry.
The ending bitterness really does linger. The mouthfeel is light to medium.
This stands out for me being a really strongly bitter IPA. There’s some balance with the caramel sweetness, but the bitterness is one of the biggest I’ve had for an IPA. I prefer a more West Coast style, but interesting enough. I recommend it.

You don't see this one much in sepa area so I grabbed one up.
Boy was I disappointed. With a B/B date of 7/14/14 this beer should be reasonably fresh.
Pours with a lackluster effort and only after vigorously topping it off did i get a head atop this amber brew.
The aroma was lightly medicinal.
The taste was absent of both malts and hops and replaced with dry and bitingly biter which of course flowed coursely over the palate.
Not much to like here in my opinion.
