Enjoyed in an Airport bar at Manchester, NH Regional.
Pours clear, just a shade too orange to be copper - from the tap with a thin wispy head that clings to the side of the glass.
Smell is faintly roasted nuts, slight bready/yeasty, and a clean antiseptic herbal "sting" of hops.
Big hops upfront, grassy and aggressive, with a metallic/coppery finish that gives way to a chewy malt. Hop lingers and sticks a bit, cutting the malt just right before you think it's sweet.
Very heavy handed on the hops, with a big malt backbone playing rhythm guitar. Big beer with a creamy, sticky texture that "stays with you".
Quite an enjoyable beer.
Serving type: on-tap
