Appearance: This unfiltered IPA looks interesting. It's cloudy but all the unfiltered bits are very small and fairly well suspended in the glass. The beer really has the look of a lighter honey. The eggshell 1 finger head is nice too.
Smell: All I really get is hops. I'm getting pineapple but just faintly. I feel like there is more generic hop scent than anything. Again can't really pull much of anything from the yeast or the malt end of things.
Taste: The faint pineapple is even more muted when I drink. In my mouth the beer really lacks flavor. It's hoppy on the mouth but subtle is too strong a word. It's nearly non existent. In the back the bitterness really kicks in and provides a nice and long aftertaste. I enjoy a nice bitter kick, but this beer seems to do it without much other flavor to compliment it.
Mouthfeel: Sometimes I don't like unfiltered beers because they can get gritty. This beer remained smooth to the finish. Well done.
Drinkability: I was really excited to drink this beer because it is highly regarded on this site. I just don't think it delivered at all. I drank this well within the bottles freshness window.

Appearance: pours a golden orange color. with a generous 2 plus finger white foamy head that fades at a decent rate and leaves a small lacing behind. good clarity.
Smell: strong crystal/caramel malt sweetness. hops are decently strong with some pine, resin and a smaller amount of citrus.
Taste: opens with a strong sweetness from the crystal and caramel malts. afterwards there is some bitterness coming in with flavors of pine and resin. overall it comes off slightly grassy.
Mouthfeel: medium to lighter body. some lingering bitterness, a touch too sweet to me.
Overall: well before its printed freshness date but still a little lacking in the hops. too strong and sweet malts. also the grassiness I found in the taste throws me off a bit.
