Appearance - Medium brown and semi translucent. Very little head at all.

Smell - Very nice rich complex chocolate smell.

Taste - Really nice chocolatey malty taste balanced out with some slight hop crispness. Some roasted notes as well. One of those beers where you can just taste "quality" in the ingredients used.

Mouthfeel - Actually its slightly watery.

Overall - This is a very enjoyable, well crafted, well balanced, easy to drink ale.

cloudy amber brown with a buttery head that slowly fades away...

nutty malts w toffee and dates in the nose... butterscotch...

mixed nuts and lightly toasted grain... ripe dates and apricots. malts provide all the balance. hops are vaguely noticable, only when you compare to other brown ales. even a little scotch whiskey undertone. not too sure, but this is an interesting beer. I always see it at the store and never pick it up. It's comparable to Sam Smith's Nut Brown Ale, but more hops and a little heavier. It's smooth as hell and easy to drink.

i'll buy this again. it's tasty, it's refreshing, it's a nutty, toasted, ripe fruit brown ale.

A - Drank outside, straight from bottle. Love the bottle label however.

S - Wasn't crazy about the nose. Had a bit of hop aroma as well as some grainy malt scent, however I also got an off-putting sourness that made me a bit wary of trying this beer. Perhaps had something to do with having it from the bottle?

T - Luckily, this beer impressed me. A nice malty start with some faintly sweet and caramel flavor leading smoothly into a slightly bitter and clean finish. Nice balance and some complexity.

MF - Medium-bodied, carbonation was ample, and had a smooth feel with a good drinkability. The 6.5% ABV is hidden a touch.

O - Nice brown ale with a an equally good taste and mouthfeel. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase a six. Went well on a chilly November night but I could see this working year round.
