A-Poured thin head. Nice color...golden straw-hued. Left some suds on the side, but I wouldn't call it lacing. Slight bit of sediment.
S-Bits of malt and hops, with citrus tones and white bread.
T-OK initially, wheat and light orange, bread, and then I sensed a bit of skunkiness as the stuff lost its cold edge. The bottle says best before 6-7-08, so it should still be good unless it was improperly stored at some point. Aftertaste is like what you would taste 20 minutes after eating Wonder Bread with a glass of Sunny Delite.
M-Pretty good considering. The body is bolder than what I would have expected, the carbonation is perfect.
D-Probably not a bad beer if it was fresher, but I'll never know, since even if it was, it's still not my bag. The balance was surprisingly good, and it was still worthy of finishing despite its handicap.

I taste every thing from SmuttyNose as a notch above most east coast brewers.
A: For starters in a tulip glass, pours a golden apricot haze as it should topped by a persistent bright white, tight head that lasts and laces. Perfect.
S: The most interesting and aromatic of "summer" ales, Floral, Belgian cross over to German Wheat. Smells of ancient summer fields.
T: Juicy, citrusy, and well malted, this creamy ale is bready, zesty, yeasty - made me reach for the pretzel bread with dinner. Great with food. Finishes slighty acidic and peppery with notes of herbs, chamomile and mint. Very complex while remaining refreshing and subtle.
Medium-light on the palate, it's well carbonated, refreshing and clean.
O: Effortless, yet interesting and complex. A rare gem. Must try. My favorite summer ale.
