Light, tasty & full of character, our summer wheat ale is brewed with a combination of domestic and continental wheat and barley malts, lightly hopped & fermented with a Belgian wit yeast, resulting in a delightfully tangy & refreshing flavor.

Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. Best by 08/28/13 on bottle neck. Single purchased at World Market (Charlottesville, VA) for $1.40.
A: Slightly hazy lemon gold with 1-finger of foamy white head with decent retention and a light line of lacing.
S: Very mild herbal aroma and cereal grain. Despite swirling, I am not getting much else. Not objectionable but not much there to work with either.
T: A bit of cereal grain with a sharp mineral middle and finish. The hopping is not much at all, and there is very little to no wheaty tang. There is a slight earthy herbal note in the middle. Aspirin aftertaste.
M: Light body but astringent all the way with mineral notes that are not enjoyable.
O: Dare I say Smuttynose's worst beer by a long shot.
