12oz bottle poured into traditional Hefe glass.
Pour produces a healthy white head that sticks around for quite a bit, but leaves little lace to speak of. Eventually settles down to a light semi-hazy golden yellow.
Nose is full of wheat, lemony citrus and peppery like spice. Not getting much else.
Incredibly floral front complemented with bread like undertones. Very spicy in the middle with a tad bit of hop bitterness sneaking in at the end to present a nice finish. Banana isn't really apparent, nor is orange or coriander from the Wit yeast strain. I'm not exactly sure what they were going for, but this thing is pretty complex in an unpredictable way. Not crazy about this beer, but I'm starting to like it more as my glass becomes emptier.
Light to medium bodied with some nice carbonation resulting in a crisp, refreshing and easily drinkable brew. Probably a solid bet for some for a go to summer session beer.
Overall I wasn't real impressed. I'm not saying that it's bad by any means, but maybe just a bit too out there for me. For my summer drinking, I'll be going for either a Wit or a Hefe, not a semi pale concoction of the two.
