Our Star Island Single is an eminently sessionable, Belgian-style pale ale offering a beguiling mix of flavor and refreshment. This medium-bodied golden ale features a slight residual sweetness from Honey Malt and hints of citrus and tropical fruits from the unique Belgian yeast it is fermented with, leaving a crisp dry finish. Enjoy it sociably while you savor good times, tall tales, friendly company & life’s unexpected pleasures.

This is a mild one, for those who enjoy saisons and summery wheats.

I got it on a great sale which made it a bargain. Totally drinkable. Wouldn't seek it out, but I'm glad I grabbed it from the fridge tonight to pair with slightly spicy barbequed shrimp (cooked in butter, Old Bay, Worchestershire sauce, and lemon juice). They played very nicely together.

08/07/13 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. This is one of those beers that is so smooth on the tongue you don't get the benefit of the cold temperature. The glass was cold...there was condensation & all...but the creaminess hushed it all. As for flavor it's just fine. Great finish & actually leaves a hint of the crisp as it fads away. Well done.

This poured a pretty hazed golden yellow with a fat head of creamy foam that lasted well enough and left a layer on top. Some lace. Nose is earthy, funky beligian, with a touch fruit rind from orange and lemon, a bit of coriander spice and a cracker malt that sports a bit of dry biscuit. Taste follows the nose all the way. Except it offers a touch of tartness and as the beer warms the fruity scent of white grape to sweeten and enliven it so that the second half of the glass is even better than the first half. The mouthfeel is medium light and a amply carbonated.

This beer is an unexpected delight. A nice sweet honey kissed malt presence with belgian and fruity drink that surprises you as it continues to change in the glass form earthy to fruity as it warms. I got this in the singles and I am going to get one fresh just to see how it is.

Animated and lively =)
