Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into an English pint glass.
A: Golden, slight haze, with a rocky white head that laces as it reduces.
S: Nice piney scent evident, even at a distance, but not overwhelming.
T: Pine bite is mellower than expected, giving way to creamy textures and a very mild malt presence. A nice change from the ever-less-balanced DIPAs proliferating in the market. Very subtle and laid-back. This tastes like a DIPA that has made it to India, rather than one that never made the voyage.
M: Smooth, a bit of hop oil feel. Creamy and full on the tongue and palate.
D: The interesting textures made this a good slow sipper, and an enjoyable break from the emerging pattern of American copycat hop-bomb DIPAs.
