Poured from bottle with no freshness date, into my pint glass. Orange in appearance with very weak head. Very little scent coming from this brew. Bland almost flavorless. This brew is very underwhelming, nothing real outstanding. I did note some sediment floating in my glass.

Soft grainy character and nicely blended and balanced earthy English hops. Bit of a watery character representative of a light ale.
Cloudy golden amber and nicely dense whitish head with good lacing.
Again with a lighter presentation representative of a session beer style. Less grainy malt than compared to the aroma. Very soft bittering, but a more evident hop flavor. Flavors are less distinct than the aroma and much more blended. There is a prickliness in the carbonation that lends a sharpness to the hop flavors in particular. Also a bigger feel than one would expect from a smaller beer.
I like this beer. A nice afternoon beer and probably since it is so balanced a good beer for most foods.

appearance:
Pours a perfect, translucent amber color with plenty of sediment hanging in suspension. A thin, white ring around the glass was all that remained after a few minutes of pouring. Carbonation is light,

Aroma:
Nice malty base with pecans and praline playing the lead roles. Light sweetness that reminds me of brown sugar. There is also a light mustiness that adds a bit of character and I like it quite a bit.

Taste:
Nothing special, but enjoyable - reminds me of a loaf of nut bread. Simple caramel cues. Faint orange on the tail end.

Mouthfeel:
Easy to drink, medium-bodied beer. Carbonation is hardly noticeable. Finish is semi-dry.

Overall:
This one easy to drink beer. It's not heavy and it's not complex but it has character, making it a fantastic session beer.

Fresh bottle from the Beer Temple.
Bottom of the bottle is dated "3057", not sure if it's a relevant Julian date.

Dark saturated orange with a finger or so of dense foam, arcs of spindly lace in the glass, lasting skim across the surface. A closer inspection reveals suspended microparticles in the bottom of the glass.

Estery dried fruit aroma, some minor nutty malt sweetness.

Lightly fruity and nutty, sweet maltiness, dry finish with minimal bitterness. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation. Slight astringency from the CO2, but pretty clean and easy drinking. Not bad.

Pours a nice, soapy, white head. A yeasty, sweet aroma that has notes of floral hops. Golden-raw sienna color. Starts with a nice crisp, floral hoppiness, peaks in this as the sweeter malt comes in, a wonderful nuttiness comes out before hop bitterness lingers in the finish.

This is very nice. The mouthfeel is fantastic! It's frothy, smooth, and perfectly carbonated.
It drink similar to a brown ale. I love the nuttiness balanced against the slight sweetness and floral hops, and I even like that little caramel aspect to it.
I probably won't go out and buy a sixer of this, but I would definitely consider it if I wanted a nice session ale, or if it were on tap.

12oz bottle, deep golden-amber colored ale topped with a frothy, white head that sticks around for awhile leaving thick lacing at the top of the glass. Aromas are malty, bready, earthy, caramely, spicy yeast. Tastes earthy, fruity, bready, caramel, spicy, slightly dry finish. Medium-full body, perfect carbonation, floats on the palate - really nice mouth-feel. Overall, very good and recommendable EPA; definitely sessionable as well.

Pours out golden straw color with about two fingers of white foam head that lasts for about two minutes and no lacing at all. Lighter body and carbonation levels, a touch watery and thin.

Smells and tastes vaguely floral and biscuity with a touch of diacetyl that didn't blend well with the malt profile like some of the better English Bitters do. It's pretty average all around, the hopping seems a bit too murky and the texture isn't as sharp and crisp as it could have been. If these issues were addressed, it could be a really nice beer.

English Pale Ale? Say what? This seems nowhere near it, in my opinion. There are a lot of things going on; none of which fit to style. Fruity tone reminds me slightly of Magic Hat #9. Soft liquid feel with a carbonation to match. It's an easy drinker, but this is not an EPA at all.

Hazy off orange with a nice lacy off white head. Lasts a bit.

Nose is malty, not much of a hop presence. Deep bready with nutty notes.

Taste is bready malt and notes of caramel, balanced nicely but no sign of hops, a lovely drinker.

Good carbonation with a medium mouthfeel, right for the style. This is a good fresh example of what a good midwest brewer can do with this English style. I'd take this over most imports available.

Sessionable at that, a good all around beer.
