Rich, golden hued body topped with a decent, white head. Fine sediment and plenty of carbonation.

Aroma:
Simple, pleasant, and sweet. Grains, banana, and Belgian yeast with hints of honey and citrus. The occasional prune note.

Taste:
Plenty of spicing and alcohol from beginning to end with a subtle sweetness. Banana bread, toasty malt, and corriander. Belgian yeast. Bubble gum character.

Has a bite but it's crisp. A dry finish and medium body, plenty of carbonation.

A solid belgian style ale but far from my favorite.

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. No abv listed on the label either, but by the looks of things, this beer is contract brewed by the Milwaukee Brewing Co., for Furthermore Beer. Whatever. I got this bottle as part of a mixed six pack at the local beer store.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter.

A - Pours a nice bright orange colored body with three fingers of big bubbly off-white head with pretty underwhelming retention, especially given the style. Some nice fat streaks of lacing on the glass. Looks alright.

S - Smell is of earthy musty grains, funky yeast, alcohol fumes, brown bread, some nuttiness, and some mild banana / clove spice.

T - Taste is of bready malt, grains / grass / earth, slight hint of sticky caramel, booze heat, brettanomyces, cloves, light banana, & some kind of syrupy sweetness.

M - Feel is sticky, bready, and dry with some mild alcohol fumes on the finish. Medium bodied with high, bloating carbonation.

Overall, I'd say it was a drinkable endeavor, but certainly not something I would want for repeat drinking. It grew on me as I drank it, but I guess there was a bit too much sweetness, and too much carbonation for me to find enjoyable. In all, it was alright.

A solid example of the style. Enjoyable. Served with
homemade guacamole, and it paired quite well. Must
be the hints of lime and coriander.
We purchased this on a recent trip to Minnesota and will
look for it again when we are in Wisconsin next time.

A single bottle to try.

It pours a nice cloudy dark gold with very white head and good lacing.

Nose is very much Belgian hop, yeast, floral aromatics,

Taste is a little grainy, sweet, Belgian hops and some citrus bite. I would like this beer more if there was less grain. Mouth feel is good with plenty of carbonation. Overall a decent beer but could use some work.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Duvel Acre tulip.

A- pours a hazy light copper/gold with a 2-3 finger white foamy head. Slowly fades and leaves a ring and blotches on the glass.

S- Aromas of grass and honey sweetness, citrus, biscuit and light spices.

T- Sweet honey biscuit and mild caramel, minimal fruit and banana with spice. Very light on hops.

M- Well carbonated with light mouth feel. Refreshing to quaff.

O- A nice twist on a Belgian Pale Ale that is refreshing to drink.

cold rainy (with snow to come) April night. Seems a proper time for a big enough beer to handle the chill.
Nice mixed fruit in the noise with balance of pale malt graininess. Touch of yeasty spice. Complex and nice.
Medium sized amply dense white head. Semi-cloudy gold.
Again with a nice fruitiness. A softer dryness for style. Mild yeast flavor with subdued phenols and minimal spice. Mild pale grains. Some drinks bring out a clear hop flavor. A pleasing sweetness runs through the drink very nicely.
Soft feel enhanced by the carbonation.
A good drinking pale ale/tripel. Americanized somewhat, but enjoyable. Let's have one more.

A - Clear, bubbly copper color with a one-finger, off-white head of foam. It left thin rings of lace on the glass.

S - It smelled fruity and yeasty.

T - It tasted fruity with sweet caramel and a yeasty/spicy bite.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.

O - This is a good Belgian Ale. Nice one from Furthermore.

A- 12oz into a pint glass, Nice orange color with a thin white head. Good clarity.

S-Spicey, hints of coriander, light citrus, slightly toast malt

T-Sweet and citrusy up front with a smooth bitterness and a hint of Belgian spicyness in the finish

M- Medium bodied, carbonation is low for a Belgian style beer.

O-Very sessionable for the ABV goes down more like a pale ale than a 7% beer

Pours a nice, light head that fizzes loudly, then has good retention with hop resin. Orange and a touch of bubblegum in the nose. Dark golden color. Starts off with a touch of that bubblegum character, but then moves into hop bitterness, a flash of booze, and then back to a pine hop flavor (I taste a touch of pine behind it all). The finish is a nice grassy hop with sweet malt and bubblegum.

The first time I was trying this, I didn't expect the hoppiness, and I really disliked it. Going into this, expecting the hops, it's not too bad. I'm not a huge fan of the bubblegum flavor mixed with bitter hops, though...

Mixing in the sediment from the bottom: Aroma is much more subdued. Color becomes straw. Hop flavor becomes much more intense; bubblegum flavor is much reduced. Overall, the sediment smoothes it out quite nicely, I'd bump it up a few points if you haze it up.

A - Orange/light copper with plenty of haze from the yeast particles. White head fizzes up rapidly but descends to a thin yet persistent film rather quickly.

S - Strong belgian yeast and spice notes are prominent. The label led me to believe I would be getting a face full of hops, but that isn't the case. Lots of banana bread, maybe some honey.

T - Pretty tame for a belgian style brew. The hops come through a lot more in the flavor than the nose, which kind of mutes the delicate belgian spice notes. Coriander and herbal notes are most prominent.

M - Really smooth, the mouthfeel really accentuates all the flavors perfectly.

O - Pretty damn good beer. It would make a great session brew when I want something with some serious flavor.

Reviewed from session notes.

A. Medium-hazy golden color with three fingers of fluffy sticky head that stays around for several minutes and leaves generous sticky clumps of lacing behind on the glass's surface.

S. Tons of toffee malt with lesser amounts of pears, spicy belgian yeast aroma, some light bubblegum ester spectrum, and just a dash of alcohol smell.

T. The flavor has some citric orange peel hopping and some banana wheat sweetness to it that I somehow failed to detect on the nose. Besides that, all of the elements from the nose also show up for the role call on flavor duty.

M. Somewhat on the heavier side of medium thickness, but smooth and even slightly creamy in feel nonetheless because of the well-calibrated carbonation levels.

Poured into a Oversized Wine Glass

Appearance - Cloudy Dark Orange/Amber color. Head is mildly foamy and pours around 2 fingers in width with some good retention and decent lacing

Smell - Citrus Hops, toffee, lemon sweet yeasts, and malts. Rather simple, but its easy on the nose and smells quite good

Taste - Yeasts and subdued floral hops with hefe-cloves, bananas, toffee, bubblegum, malts and barley. The aftertaste is dry yet sweet yeasty flavor which compliments the beer rather well.

Mouthfeel - It's a bit on the heavier side with carbonation that is well balanced. It's also got a crisp feel to it when drinking and it goes down rather easy.

Overall - This was an excellent beer with a mixture of different flavors that fell into place very well. Not the best Belgian Ale I've tried but this one is definitely up there!

An outstanding (if puzzling) name for a beer, and a brewery I want to try more of after enjoying their Knot Stock and Three Feet Deep.

Beer pours very cloudy into a tall glass, but with a nice head on it. Smell is crisp, with nice fruity and spicy notes. The taste is excellent to start, but leaves a fairly strong yeast flavor at the end of a sip. Hop flavors are not dominant.

A nice American-style Belgian, and at 7.20% ABV is a good option if you want a lighter beer but with significant punch.

Bottle from O'Reilly's. Orange tinged body with a token head, and a few drops only of lace are later left. Yeast with some fruit and spice aroma. Above average mouthfeel but also aggressively carbonated. Good drinkability, corriander and pepper, and secondary fruit and tanginess. Decent take on the style.

A - Pours clear orange/brown with almost three fingers of off-white head. Head has excellent retention and leaves some nice lacing.

S - Coriander initially dominates the aroma. Once my nose adjusts to all the coriander, some belgian yeast and citrus come through. Nice, but a little heavy on the coriander.

T - The taste is similarly dominated by coriander, at the expense of the other flavors. Eventually some Beligian yeast, banana and juicy citrus come through, with some pepper as well. Finish has a spicy dryness. Again, pretty good, but too much coriander.

M - Medium mouthfeel that finishes quite dry.

O - An interesting Belgian pale ale with heavy witbier spicing. Cutting back on the spicing would help this one out, but it is still pretty enjoyable.

A-Pours a cloudy light amber color with a good amount of white head. The head fades away quickly leaving a slight ring of foam and slight lacing.
S-Aromas of citrus and a hint of pine. I also detect a faint aroma of banana and cloves.
T-I get a distinct citrus flavor, some cloves and alcohol. Just a hint of sweetness in the form of slight banana flavor and the slightest hint of cloves, a fairly complex flavor along the lines of a strong saison.
M-Fairly dry with minimal carbonation. Good body.
Overall, this tastes to me like a strong saison. I know the whole point of this beer is that it really fits no specific category but thats the flavor profile I'd compare this beer to. The spice flavor is dominant, a result of the belgian yeast and extra hops. Not at all a bitter beer though. Lots of different flavors blend together in this beer.

This ale pours fairly clear deep golden color with a sticky white head. The aroma is a burst of fruity esters, a lot of banana, as well as some citrus and hints of clove, inviting. The flavor is dominated by fruity esters, a lot like banana bread, with some cloves, and tropical fruits. These flavors are balanced out by some spicy hop flavor and moderate-low hop bitterness. The beer finishes slightly dry with just a bit of lingering yeast character. The body is medium and carbonation medium-full. Overall a nicely made beer, refreshing, yet still interesting, worth a try.

Is there such a thing as amber licorice?

Lovely hazy amber in the glass. A good head on top and lots of swirling lacing. Excellent mouth feel with rich flavors, creamy carbonation. Totally weird, yet eager to please. Rather bitter long aftertaste with the licorice that just won't quit. Fruitcake in a glass. Yet it tastes of celery with a touch of Kandy Korn.

Totally unique flavor. I don't know if this would get tiresome, but it's a cute new playmate.

The Furthermore website says that they were going for a big Belgian Wit beer. I tried brewing a similar beer recently and feel that it this beer doesn't quite make it just like mine didn't. The big coriander flavor and aroma really doesn't seem to work.

Appearance is cloudy orange.

The smell is very strongly perfume. It reminded me of the strong odor of a detergent. Luckily it faded away with the head.

The taste is okay. For me the coriander is overwhelming. It makes it taste grassy and dull at the same time. I can't really explain it; it's like the wheat and coriander combine in a way that just isn't pleasant to me.

They brew I made needed less coriander, less wheat and more citrus. When I add a squeeze of lemon, it is better. This beer has the detergent like perfume odor and taste too. Just not for me I guess.

This is an American Belgian beer. Pours with average body, clouded appearance related to yeast. Served around 40F so there was a low, rocky white head that fell at an expected rate.

Lots of Belgian aroma. Not as clean as a Belgian but good phenol character.

Sturdy Belgian taste with some yeasty character. Cara taste is abundant with malt notes subdued.

Not great but worthy of a try. Possibly needs to be cold cellared to improve it a bit. It is tough to compare American Belgians against the likes of Westmalle and Chimay.

This beer has a pretty cool name, makes me think of the one line from the Bloodhound Gang song You're Pretty When I'm Drunk but anyway, this beer pours out as a golden yellow color with a fluffy white head. The smell has an average Belgian aroma to it. The taste has a decent bitterness to it. The mouthfeel is a little on the lighter side. The overall on this beer is that it's an average beer but not something I'd rave about.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Chalice.

Appearance: Very cloudy orange with bubbly white head and lacing.

Smell: Strong banana and bubblegum, with light clove, coriander and wheat. Some alcohol.

Taste: Sweet upfront with a dominant banana and bubblegum flavor. Dries up and turns spicy and hoppy at the end, with pepper, clove, coriander and a nice bitter bite. Despite everything happening at the finish, the banana still lingers.

Feel: Moderately high carbonation, medium body, very dry finish. A little bit warming.

Overall: Very nice complex and refreshing... something. Not a typical Belgian at all, as it resembles a Hefeweizen more than the claimed base Witbier. Regardless, it is delicious, and perfect when a stronger Summer seasonal is desired.
