Malty in character, this brown ale has a smooth body and a clean, well-rounded finish.

New 2006 edition, bottled on 09/07/06. Pours a clear dark brown color, nice carbonation, nice creamy tan head, lots of lacing afterwards. Scents of roasted malts, toffee/caramel. The taste is of roasted nutty malts, and slight toffee/caramel. Medium body. Very drinkable, this is a tasty Nut Brown Ale from this brewery. I'm glad to get a sixer from them, since it is only in the sampler pack. Highly recommended.

I am trying a bottle of this beer at my friend's house in Naples, FL. It poured a clear dark mahogany amber with off white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had caramel malt nose. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet balt base and subtle hop finish to make it clean. The mouthfeel was medium in body and has good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

a: light, murky brown with some dark purple and ruby red notes towards the bottom. no real head on this. would have been nice to have that head
s: not much on the nose. slight roasted malts, roasted chestnuts, and vanilla beans. a touch of roasted malts and some sweet malts
t: sweet caramel, a touch of roasted malts. a faint nutty note, and a hint of grassy hops - no bitterness
m: medium mouthfeel with low-medium carbonation
o: a middle of the road Brown Ale. For the style, I would have like some more depth out of the malt, and a bit more malt sweetness. Not bad, not great.

This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a nice looking hazy brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer. The smell had a decent nutty/burnt caramel with a crisp leafy - ness to it (reminiscent of Autumn). The taste was semi - sweet with a nice robust and somewhat roasty to burnt caramel to nuttiness with a light toffee coming in to satisfy. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was appropriately styled and was good for me. Overall, nice brown ale I could definitely see myself coming back to.

Poured from 12oz bottle after a solid day on the slopes in Brianhead Utah. Snowing buckets outside with Coltrane lingering in the background. Nutty and smokey, but a very light feel and taste for a brown. As an avowed West Coast hop enthusiast, I really enjoyed this offering from Uinta. Going to crack another one as a matter of fact... you should go get some.
