It's not complex but simple. Taste good and is a well drinkable beer. It doesn't burst out flavors or smells but it also doesn't have artificial pumpkin pie flavor which I can really appreciate. Taste is earthy pumpkin and hint of tea leafs maybe.. it's a solid brew with nice Mouthfeel and is good enough to not past up. Wish the abv% was alittle higher to 6 or 7.

"Best by 12/30/15"; drank 10/13/15 @ the Yarchives.

Murky dull orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a decent eggnog head; strong lace.

Pumpkin pie, allspice & burnt caramel notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel. Allspice & mild pumpkin flavors.

Decent nose but not much flavor at all; boring. I've had my last.

Pours a light clear amber. Slight pumpkin spice aroma. Malty with a slight pumpkin spice finish. Not very complex. I prefer my pumpkin ales to have more pumpkin flavor. A lot of people dont. So this one is average at best in my opinion.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/21/2018. Pours slightly hazy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, brown sugar, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pumpkin, spices, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, brown sugar, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/spice bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove, brown sugar, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of pumpkin, spices, and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is a very good pumpkin ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of pumpkin, spices, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink; with the mildy bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and never watery feeling for the ABV. Nice authentic pumpkin fruit presence, with great spice balance and bready malt backbone. Nothing overdone or feels out of place. A very enjoyable offering and great style example.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip

L: Clear copper pour. 1 finger of foamy white head... falls fast with a reasonable ring of lacing.

S: Pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices.... about what you'd expect.

T/F: Caramel malts and brown sugar.... good pumpkin presence... spices (clove, nutmeg, ginger). Mild hop bittering cleans it up a little. Light... thin in body. Well carbonated. Finish is pie spice.

O: A pretty forgettable pumpkin beer. Drinkable... it is what it aims to be. Nothing special though, and not one I'd likely revisit.
