A very enticing aroma invites you into this honig ale. Unfortunately -aside from the initial honey and malt flavors- it ends there. Hints of mint, light citrus, and obviously honey are predominant in the nose. In the palate, honey is again revisited, followed with a quick, light finish, with subtle hints of toast lingering in the after palate.

Clear orange colored ale with a small white colored head.

Smells sweet and malty with a hint of flower pollen. Scent of scorched sugar and hardwood. Fairly strong honey scent.

Starts out semisweet with a burnt sugar taste. Wheat biscuit and honey malt flavor. Mild bitterness. Still reminds me of honey on a biscuit.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Overall an OK beer. It is inoffensive in every way and is an excellent light beer.

A: Pours a relatively clear medium to dark honey apricot in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and some copper + amber highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall sudsy light beige head that reduces to a small thick patch of moderate sized bubbles surrounded by a medium to large mottled patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of biscuit and grainy malts with moderate amounts of honey sweetness and light amounts of earthy hops.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of biscuit and grainy malts with very light flavors of honey which contribute a light amount of sweetness. Light to moderate flavors of earthy hops with just a hint of citrus/orange hops. Light to moderate amounts of bitterness in the finish which fades pretty quickly.

M: Medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing but I was slightly disappointed that the honey flavors were so light when it was wonderfully present in the aroma.
