A- the best thing about this beer is the appearance. I'd never had it before and got my hopes up after seeing it in the glass (tulip). A beautiful amber and gold hue with a huge foamy ivory head that lasted forever, and excellent lacing. Fairly cloudy/hazy, unfiltered look.

S- not much going on here, unfortunately. Sorry. I really struggled to identify noteworthy characteristics. Simply put, it smelled like beer (and reminded me more of a pilsner).

T- again, not a lot (if anything) that stood out. Bitter with some light bread notes. Very disappointing, given how great it looked in the glass.

M- light, crisp.

O- not bad, but not anything more than "ok" for me.

Cheers all!

Poured out a hazy amber, and pretty lively at that. Big thick white head sticks to the glass like glue. The aroma is mild, with light bread notes and a little bit of fruity funkiness. The taste is a little too mild, with nothing really distinctive. It borders on bland. The feel of the beer is a little too close to water for me. I feel like there needed to be more malt in the malt bill or maybe brewed longer or something. It's just lacking.

UPDATE: I looked at the bottle at the best by date was November 2013. That might be why. If I can find a newer brew, I'll re-review.

Crisp and tangy ultra-light brew. Clear amber with just a shade of brownish. Fine-grained white foam is attractive and lasts well. Quite spritzy in the mouth. Aroma is pleasantly beery with a whiff of hops and roasted grain.

There is a little roast malt flavor, but overall it is sharpish and prickly. Some faint hop flavors, slightly herbal. A light bitter twang finishes things off. This has a lot of the club soda taste but it goes down nicely.

This is the classic light-weight brew that has just a quiver of flavor. Not much to say about this, but it's clean and beery. From the 12 oz can purchased at Emigration Market in Salt Lake City.

Other than the smell I can't even tell this is really a pale ale.

The mouthfeel is very thin with minimal carbonation.

Appearance was not good at all. I didn't even get a quarter of a finger head on it and I always pour heavy for a big head. Very unusual for me. The color is a slightly darker than a Budweiser.

The taste is basically a watered down pale ale. It's as if someone poured half a glass of water and half a glass of pale ale into my glass. Terrible.

Overall this is one of the worst pale ales I've ever had. I can't find an ABV% at all on the bottle but at least there is a best by date on it : May 2014. Which means it's not even bad because it's old. It's just a bad pale ale in all respects except maybe smell which is average at best for this pale ale.

Which sums up my review of this beer quite well - Even the best part about this beer is only average at best.
