A - Slightly hazy pale yellow body with bubbly white head. Nice retention and lacing.

S - Some tangy lemon, but not very fragrant

T - Dry start with some mild bitter hops, grassy, lemon grass and pine. Low subtle malts come in with doughy notes.

M - Medium/light body with moderate/high carbonation. Fresh and very drinkable.

O - This was great. I'd certainly pick a six of this up for a weekend barbecue.

Served in a pint glass at average fridge temps. Bottle has a best before date of 1/4/14. It was in a clearance bin at the local shop so I figured I'd give it a try.

Appearance: Light honey colored with a firm, off white and creamy head of fine bubbles. A bit of turbidity that could be from the temperature however, I did notice some tiny floating particles when the beer was at room temp. After a minute or two in the glass the head begins to sink.

Nose: The aroma just leaps out of the glass. I'm sitting like a 2 feet away and I can still pick up citrus notes, grapefruit, cooked limes, spice hop notes, key lime pie, no maltiness at all. Almost a meaty quality (not a good thing) probably from yeast autolysis.

Taste and Finish: Hop forward, slight bitterness bite, limes and citrus, spicy bite at the back of my throat, no hot alcohols or solvents. Fairly light body with a citrusy finish that lingers.

I'd say this isn't a bad beer even 7 months past its freshness date. I'd like to try a fresher version of this APA to compare. Great session beer at 4%
