From a 355 ml bottle (best by April 14, 2013) into a tulip.

A-The brew is quite bright in its orange and yellow hues, and a touch murky. There is a dense, nearly-white, two-finger head that drops at a moderate pace into a thick cap, and eventually disappears.

S-The smell is full of sharp, citrusy hops. I mostly detect orange zest and lemon. The malts give a fruity, esthery fragrance, too. There is a little bit of biscuit underneath.

T-The taste is much less inspiring than the smell. The hops are softer and there is more pale, biscuity-cracker flavor. I also detect a tinny, metallic flavor. I'm not sure if the beer is too old (it is close to the best by date), but the flavors are a little oxidized.

M-The feel is soft, non-intrusive, and medium bodied. Ho-hum.

O-This beer starts off with a decent look and a pleasant smell, but the taste leaves a little to be desired. The hops just melt away and the flavor is thin and sort-of metallic. I've definitely had better session beers and APAs than this one.

Poured from a "stubby" 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass.
Clear gold in color, with a moderate head of white foam.
Aroma-PLeasant boquet of floral, citrus hops
Taste-Nice wave of white grapefruit-rind bitterness, pale malts and "dusty" hops. Light-bodied but vey nice flavor. At 4.0ABV, this brew lends itself well to a session with friends around the grill or on the deck.

Appearance – Light, slightly opaque, golden color

Smell – Fresh, clean hops, with some lemon hints.

Taste – Very refreshing. Piney, citrusy hops hit you well for only being 29 IBU. Got some sour (in a good way), lemony flavors from the hops. Slight malt sweetness. Had a clean, dry finish.

Overall – I was very surprised this beer got only an 80 rating. This would make for a great session beer. I could tip back quite a few of these in the summertime. I thought this had great hop flavor, and sour/sweetness balance for only having a 4% abv. Would've guessed a higher abv on this one. Would definitely have again.

Best before 1/7/13.

Pours a murky light orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to an island of film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. There is a bit of sediment that sinks to the bottom of the glass after the pour. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, and some fruity peach-like aromas. Taste is much the same with a citrus zest flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some nice but somewhat subdued aromas and flavors.

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – Served an amber colored brew with a one finger pure white fluffy head. The head fades fast to a thin film leaving a very light level of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is very light overall, but consists of some light bready smells as well as aromas of lighter fruits (apple, pear and orange) and citrus hop aromas of a more grapefruit and lemon variety.

Taste – The taste begins with a bready and biscuit taste with an upfront showing of some citrus hop tastes of a grapefruit nature. As the flavors advance a light sweetness of brown sugar and honey comes to the tongue as well as a small amount of an orange and pear fruit taste. The brew by no means takes on a sweet taste at this point however, as some flavors of a more grassy and herbal hop as well as an intensification of the grapefruit hop come to the tongue. In the end one is left with a somewhat off slightly sweet and rather citrus bitter hopped bready taste on the tongue.

Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation level that is quite high with tons of fizzy carbonation bubbles. The feel is quite appropriate for the more session style of the brew and make it quite easy to drink.

Overall – An alright APA, although there is something a bit off at the end of the taste with the combination of the bitter grapefruit hop and light honey and brown sugar sweetness, with the two combining in a not so harmonious fashion.

Poured golden with thin white head. Not much much of an aroma on this one . The taste was a straight forward pale ale, touch of citrus, touch of hops, nothing crazy, but well balanced.

This was a very easy drinker with nice carbonation, a clean finish, and more flavor than you would think for a >5% abv beer. I suggest this with meals and would recommend it to both bmc and craft drinkers. I gave it a 3.75 overall because I was impressed with how much flavor there was for an organic brew. I could session this very easily.

Bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Pours a golden, hazy orange color with a finger of head. Patchy lacing.

S: Subtle fruity hops, citrus, and bready malt in the background.

T: Not very assertive citrus hop flavor, lemon, honey sweetness, and light cracker malt. Very straight forward.

M: Very light and drinkable with above average carbonation. Crisp on the tongue.

O: A less than exciting offering from Uinta. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
