Pale golden amber, small foamy white head, leaving oily lacing in it's wake.

Pale bready malts and citrusy hops in the aroma.

The flavor has first and foremost, resiny citrus, mostly grapefruit with a fresh baked breadlike pale malt background.

Mouthfeel is intentionally on the thin side (not watery however) and smooth.

Very sessionable, not a standout IPA but a standout drinkable ale to share with friends. This would be outstanding at a backyard barbecue!

Clear amber colored ale with a small white colored head.

Smells of mildly of NW style hops and biscuit malt scents. Woody scents and a faint pine scent.

Starts out dry and slightly bitter. Light malt and stronger hops. Light strong tea, wood and pine flavor. Taste stronger than it smells.

Mouthfeel is OK.

An OK IPA.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It id z pale orange color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing down the glass as the beer wax drank.

Smell: Toasted malts, caramel, light citrus, and pretty simple.

Taste: Definitely light tasting. Bready toasted malts, some pale malts, and some citrus. A little bitterness in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, a bit chewy, light, refreshing, crisp, and medium carbonation.

Overall: At 4%, I wax expecting much. Pretty simple, but would have liked more hops.

Pours a gold color with a one finger head into my glass. I'm intrigued by the idea of a 4% IPA.

Grassy hops and buttery malt. Reminiscent of a standard american pale ale.

Slightly toasty with a floral touch. Tasty. Refreshing.

All the flavors flourish toward the back of the throat. Very nice way to cap it off.

Worth picking up, especially if you're skeptical of a 4% IPA!

Trader Session IPA pours to a golden/amber hue with a small head of foam. The beer is fragrant, with scents of floral and citrus. Based on appearance alone, it seems like an agreeable IPA and one that keeps its assertiveness in check.

Tasting this beer, it looks like the first impression was accurate. It has a milder flavor than your typical, hoppy IPA, but is still every much the session IPA it claims to be. Flavors of citrus, mostly grapefruit, are dominant. But the malty component holds its own, imparting a bread/biscuit taste. The beer leans in a bitter direction, but it is actually rather mild for a beer of this style.

Uinta beers are known for their lower alcohol content and Trader Session IPA certainly follows in these footsteps. It is far less alcoholic than the average IPA and the body is lighter and less bitter. I like that this beer doesn’t reach the level of wateriness, but I also admit that I would like it better if it had a little more body. Still, it’s a good product for what it is and it’s certainly worthy of a try.

Neat looking bottle, they even put the directional notation on the bottle, best before 5/22/14

Light fizzy head hits about 1 finger before fading at a med pace, decent soapy lacing, very clear honey orange color with a little amber hue.

Nose brings some decent hops, floral and a little grassy, a faint fruity bubblegum, with a mild sweet toasty reddish malt aroma underneath, very light hop resin.

Taste starts quite bitter surprisingly, a nice bitter hops base that seems bitter, but with no real malt to back it up it only seems bitter but really isn't very bitter. A little spicy chew like hop, touch grassy and floral, hint of fruity note, mostly flowery floral hops, hint of a mint in the background too. Malts are barely existing, but eventually a little copper malt note comes through. Finish is dryish, bit more bitter, it always seems like it wants to be bitter but never really gets there, bit more floral hop.

Mouth is lighter bod, decent carb.

Overall not bad but I wouldn't really call it an IPA, even a session IPA, more like a light pale ale, light hops all around that give the perception that they will be bitter but it doesn't, and mostly due to lack of any real malt profile on the taste that the tongue perceives the bitterness as more than it really is. Still pretty enjoyable.
