Noted for its bright hop character, this sessionable IPA is wonderfully balanced.

From the 12oz can split two ways – Societe Brewing 2nd Anny glass
Notes taken on 12/23/2014
A: Golden straw with a hint of amber to it and some minimal haziness around the core. A foamy layer of whipped egg whites settles over top. Light dots and slippery curtains of lace hit the glass walls after every sip.
S: Malty aromas straight from the can. Touch of bread and toasted biscuit with an overall caramel like sweetness. Somewhat lacking in aroma hops however I do get nice grassy and floral arrangement to this. Decent but I would say all around the nose is a bit subdued.
T: Caramel malt and biscuit breads combine to make up most of the fore flavors. There is a nice grassy resin note to this one and a very drying level of puckered bitterness. Sprinkle in some lemony pine and floral notes. Not bad on the balance and overall session. Has some burpy malt packed in for sure.
M: Light and spritzy with a moderate to light body. Upper levels of constricting bitterness lend to a very dry crisp finish and some resinous linger.
D: An okay session I would say. Malt is bready and hops are grassy for the most part. Does have some nice bitter punch while keeping the balance in good check. Cool to try out but not in the top echelon of the table brew race.

Trader Session IPA pours a murky copper with a more giant, long-lasting lacing head. The aroma is more potent and dank, with notes of vegetables. The flavor is bold and dank, has lots of vegetable flavors, and is solidly bitter. Good feel. Overall, it is a friendly, no-frills, bitter IPA.

Day 8 of the City Beer Tours 12 Days of Christmas box. Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of bright citrus. Tastes of bright citrus with some nice tropical fruit. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

From a can. Pours a hazy golden yell with a short cap of white foam. The nose is a smooth citrus west coast hop smell. The flavor is bitter citrus with a light background of clean dry malt. Medium bodied and smooth.

It’s not bad. I prefer NE style IPAs, so this is obviously not my thing but I like it. It’s very piney, but not overbearing and doesn’t leave much aftertaste. Overall not a bad drink. Wouldn’t recommend to someone who doesn’t like IPAs, but I like it. Wouldn’t buy it again, but I’m pretty picky with what I buy on repeat.

From a beer of the month club (5% variety). Pour has a nice 1"+ white foam head with a pale amber body and a very minor amount of effervescence. Scent is very tropical hop forward -- pineapple, mango/papaya, and pinch of zest -- with little bitterness noted. Taste follows nicely with the hoppy flavors flowing through, a bit of malty backbone helping to keep things in line, and just a touch of tropical bitterness to keep it from veering too sweet. Feel is on the heavier side of light with very mild floral bitterness politely reminding you it is an IPA. Would recommend in these summer months.

a: murky burnt orange color with a very faint purple note. 1/2 finger off-white head
s: oranges, tangerine, and sweet lemon. grapefruit and a nice floral hop note. a hint of grass and tangy pineapple. dry crackers and a touch of malt sweetness
t: tangerine, light orange juice, and a bunch of pineapple. mild grapefruit bitterness and a touch of kiwi and guava. crackery backbone that is a touch dry
m: light mouthfeel with high carbonation
o: reviewing this as a session IPA, because that's what the Unita website says it is. it's got decent flavor, and isn't watery. however, at 5% it's a touch stronger that what I'd consider a Session IPA to be. An alright beer, but it kind of falls in between some lines for me
