Glass - Tulip
A - An amber colored brew with a fairly high clarity. It produced a pretty massive 3-finger head on a gently pour. From what I can tell it only has moderate carbonation. I got a bit of spots left on my glass.
S - It's got a very bright and fresh aroma of grapefruit, herbal leafy like hops, pineapple, papaya. Wonderfully fruity with moderate sweetness and mild brown sugar.
T - Wow this is tasty stuff! I pick up alcohol and herbal leafy hop characteristics that quickly give way to a rather subdued (compared to the smell) pineapple, grapefruit and mid palate. More leafy hop characteristics come in at the finish, along with pronounced alcohol, soft caramel, big dryness, and a bitterness that sticks on the tongue a good while.
M - Smooth, viscous, mildly crisp and full bodied.
O - It does a good job at hiding that 9.5% ABV without being overly sweet and sickening. I really like the fruity and fresh aroma, the appearance was nice as well, and the flavors were good but I would only enjoy a glass in one sitting. Overall pretty darn good.
