A ~ Pours reddish-brunette with great very white looking head & carbonation.
S ~ Really fantastic floral aromas as well as some Kumquat-like Citric-notes, as well as a touch of berry. Bit of simple syrup lies beneath the bed of hops. Touch of ethanol.
T ~ Grass, Citrus zest, & Dandelion make up the bulk of the hop profile. Great amount of hoppiness, but not nearly as floral as the nose. Malt has a stale wheat bread/brown rice characteristic.
Bit of black tea, pine tar, & heat caress the back of the throat.
M ~ Medium in body, with a lingering bitterness. Finish is semi-dry. A bit like chewing grass at times. Carb is extremely fine & smooth.
D ~ Overall I definitely enjoyed their take on the IIPA, & am very enthused to try plenty more of Uinta's Crooked-Line series in the future. Thanks to Brent for making another want happen.
