Bottle from Tipples, with Best Before date of 5/31/14. Pours a beautiful copper crimson color, perfectly clear, with a nice big and fluffy off white head. Aroma of sweet and bitter grapefruits, lots of caramel malts, lots and grassy hops, very nice. The flavor is a medium bitter, super dank and resinous grapefruit, pine, and caramel combination. Hops keep this somewhat light and airy despite the dank resinous feel, and it goes down pretty easy. Clean finish, slightly dry, with a lasting bitter on the end. Medium low carbonation. Overall I like this one, and am now impressed by Uinta after this and Hop Notch. What a nice everyday double IPA!

This is a solid DIPA from a solid brewer than never seems to get to 4, but is consistently thoughtful, original, fresh, and enjoyable.
A: Deep amber, honey like, cloudy. Sticky white head but not much lace.
S: Caramel dominant, the most caramel beer I have tasted, in a good way, followed by citrus and pine. Then fruity, spicy tingly finish as in perhaps a barley wine
T: Follows smell. Malty caramel sweetness starts, then hops emerge, with grapefruit peels, orange pith, and pine resins. Finishes nicely with an almost wine-like, honey finish.
MF: Medium-full match the sweetness, and there's plenty of bitter tingle in the long pleasant finish leaves you in a great place.
Detour is a "detour" - not like other DIPA's more honey, more caramel, but yet plenty intense hops, results in a medicine, wine like beer, that I really ended up liking and want to share with friends. Intense. A sipper. Warming.

Best before 7/5/14. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a burnt orange with nice clarity; fluffy off white head that leaves nice retention and solid lacing. The aromas are full of fresh citrus. Lots of orange and grapefruit. Some pine along with some caramel malts in the background. The hop flavors really come through in the taste. There's also a very solid bitterness to this one. It's slightly sweet with a solid malt backbone, but the hops still clearly shine. More fresh grapefruit and orange zest. There's a solid earthiness to this one too. Some grass along with some pine resin. There's a slight warmth in the finish and it's slightly spicy. Mouthfeel is great. It's full-bodied with a very creamy and fluffy feel to it. The carbonation is moderate and it's very smooth. It's fun to drink.
This is a pretty solid DIPA. The aromas and flavors are good, but not exactly unique or mind blowing. It's an enjoyable beer though nonetheless. It's well crafted.

A solid India Pale Ale with a significance strength of flavor and hops. It has a nice copper hue with slight bubbling. Surprisingly smooth taste with enough hop on the palate to satisfy most ale connoisseurs. It is a phenomenal India Pale Ale from a relatively unknown (yet!) brewery!
