Poured into a tulip from a 750 ML bottle
A: Black or chocolate brown with a very thin medium brown head.
S: Chocolate and coffee aromas. Pretty strong. Molasses too.
T: Creamy and smooth. A syrupy milk chocolate. Bitter licorice aftertaste that lingers nicely for a little while. Licorice.
M: Low carbonation, medium-body, low-acidity. Medium heat for a nice winter beer. I don't really smell or taste the roasted oak that is mentioned on the side of the bottle.
O: Very pleasant smooth black ale that compares favorably to chocolate/ coffee- flavored stout.
Serving type: nitro-bottle

Poured from a big ass bottle in to a Duvel tulip.
A- This looks like straight Hershey's syrup which erupts in to a big luscious dark brown head if poured quickly enough.
S- The smell is magical. Barrel up front, chocolate and coffee following. Rich, rich, rich.
T- As with an big stout, the flavor really comes alive as it warms. Cocoa, licorice, and coffee grounds, followed by the slightest alcohol burn. As I keep sipping, dark fruits become very apparent and mildly tart.
M- Huge full feel and medium-light carbonation.
O- I'm a big fan of this beer. Glad I finally gave it a go.
