Pours a cloudy brown with copper/ruby highlights when held to the light. Nice creamy head that soon dies to a slight lacing.
Appealing malty aroma including fruit, booze and vanilla. Somewhat subdued nose, but pleasant.
Rich flavor of bitter chocolate at the forefront, with a slight residual vanilla-y aftertaste. Getting a little caramel in there too. Slight hop resonance from the background to add a little balance, but it's malt dominated as you would expect.
Mouthfeel is somewhat slick and maybe a tad thin, but does not detract from the experience. Full bodied with minimal carbonation. Tidy finish.
A nice beer that I wouldn't mind trying again. Not overly complex, but a rather easily drinkable barley wine. A solid offering.

Served in 12oz goblet. Poured a nice, opaque mahogany-brown color with less than a half-inch of light tan head that had very good retention and pretty good lacing.
The aroma was mostly sweet malts, with a bit of a hop tang in the background. On the tongue, the beer was pretty much the same, with the addition of an odd "funk" in the middle. there a slight bitter and smoky finish.
The body was about average for the style, a little fuller than Bigfoot perhaps, and had a dry finish. Drinkability was OK, but I would probably only have 1 at a sitting. Overall, a nicely solid brew. Worth trying if you see it.
