12 oz. bottle poured into a Duvel tulip.
A - As the label suggests, it's black. A little red hue when held up to the light, nice 2 finger head brown head.
S - Very hop forward nose. Piney, citrus, floral. Not much malt character to speak of.
T - This is black? Taste is similar to the nose. No malt character to taste of. If blindfolded, I would think this was a DIPA. Not that that is a bad thing, this beer tastes excellent.
M - Very smooth. the 9.2 ABV is very well hidden. Carbonation is pristine. Drinks like a 6-7% IPA.
O - This is my first brew from Uinta. I do believe they've just recently added the bluegrass state to their dist. list. I'm glad they did. Not as much roasted malt flavor as other black ales I've had but a very tasty beer nonetheless.
