a- dark like a tar, oily looking with flashes of amber through it. respectable head with a fantastic tan coloring. the lacing stuck around for what was the entirety of the drink.

s- hemp, pine, citrus and cocoa come through in pronounced waves.

t- delicious pine and grapefruit some pineapple. the alcohol isn't hot but it's up there, not out of control though. notes of coffee and cocoa. malty finish.

m- had a full feel but not on the heavy side.

o- fun beer to try, especially if you've never had an ale using hemp amongst its ingredients. the beer didn't lack anything for me and I felt like the thought put into the beer came through in the pour. well done.

Poured out of a stubby 12 oz bottle into my Stone imperial pint glass. This beer pours a very dark brown color with deep ruby amber highlights when held up to the light. Has a slightly tan head that is about 1 index finger thick when first poured that eventually settles to a nice medium sized ring lining the inside of the glass with a nice layer of lots of swirls of foam sitting on the beer's surface. Lots of lacing too. Has a nice roasted, almost chocolate, malt aroma along with a nice earthy, piney hops. Taste is an excellent mix of some roasted malt with hints of caramel and chocolate followed by earthy, piney hop bitterness. The malt profile is certainly more sweet than all other beers I have had of this style, and it works really well here. Has a crisp, mainly smooth and frothy and creamy, full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a bit of a lactic like quality with the mouthfeel. This beer sort of reminds be of drinking a milkshake. Very drinkable for a 9.2% ABV beer, dangerously drinkable in fact. This beer is amazing! To quote my good friend Passow "This is a beer that is so good that you can drink it in bed and it will lull you to sleep."

On tap at the Malted Barley. Pours a pitch black color with an inch of light tan head. Lots of lacing. Aromas of sweet citrus and pine hops with some chocolate and hints of roasted malts. The taste is more creamy chocolate, sweet citrus and pine. Roasted, smokey malts. Some burnt coffee and hops at the end. Creamy mouth feel. Nice alcohol presence. Overall, damn good and worth having again.

Poured from a "stubby" 12oz. bottle into a wine goblet.
Black with ruby highlights around the edges. Nice, thick tan head of foam that stays a while.
Aroma-Piney hops, dark malts
Taste-Dark fruit, dark toasted malt, dark chocolate and resinous, piney hops that run through to the finish. Smooth for the strength, complex and tasty. Another solid brew from Uinta.

A - Pitch black with a touch of head and lace.

S - Sweet, and slightly hoppy. But not nearly as strong in the aroma as I would expect with a DBIPA

T - Burnt wheat, brown sugar, sweet. Hoppy. Good

M - Medium bodied, oily, slick

O - A good beer, but not outstanding in any category
