Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip glass.
A: Clear, light amber color with one finger of white foam head. Heavy lacing remains on the glass and diffuse but frequent bubbles climb in the column.
S: Hops and grain are balanced but mild in the smell. Other than bread and pine, qualities are very clean.
T: Begins dry and remarkably crisp, with toasted pale malt and mild bright citrus hop aromatics. Bitterness arrives early but remains restrained, while moderate citric acidity is extended through the green herbaceous middle and into the finish. Herbaceous qualities become much more pronounced in the latter half of the profile, with detectable astringency at its height. Clean bitterness of moderate intensity lingers on the palate.
M: Thin to medium viscosity, slightly acidic on the palate, with brisk carbonation.
D/O: A super-clean IPA that is only limited in its approachability by high abv for style and aromatic hop qualities that are far outdistanced by bitterness. Malt qualities are superior to most, meaning that it tastes good but stays out of the way. Unfortunately in this case it just leaves more space for the potent dry-hopped qualities that just aren't there.

Had on-tap at Thirsty Monk Asheville. Served in an 8 oz tapered glass.
A- Pours a semi-hazy medium amber color with a 1/4 I ch white was that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a full sheet of sheer surface foam.
S- Pungent, grassy hop aroma with some citrus notes as well.
T- Bitterness clamps down hard and stays as the resinous hop flavors dance on the palate. Taste is decidedly more vegetal with minimal hop backing. Alcohol is very well hidden.
M- Sharp and a bit dry with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the lighter side.
O- An excellent go-to for hopheads.
