Severed in a Pint from a bottle dated best before 7/18/14

A- Very nice in the glass.. Orange- Cooper color with light to moderate carbonation.. when poured i got about a finger and a half of head and within 3 minutes it has reduced but is still sticking around.. nice lacing around the top of this glass..

S- A very heavy mixture of citrus and hops.. i get oranges, grapefruits and a hint of mangos.. the hop presence is piney but not too forward... it lingers in the background.. very nice

T- You get a ton of citrus up front with a bitter hop back end.. the complexity and balance of this beer is really what makes it one of my favorites..

M- Not too much carbonation.. and hides the alcohol feel very nicely

O- This along with 5 others are my go to beers.. i dont know how to sum this beer up without using the word WOW.. the label is pretty cool too.. and it has a date on the bottle.. Very nicely done Uinta.. I recommend this to everyone..

P.S. My girlfriend HATES beer.. had her try a sip of this.. she stole the glass away.. yeah its that good

Really good looking beer -- perfect copper orange color and soft, fluffy head and lacing.

Smell is hoppy, but mellow -- I get lemon, peach and pine.

Cool, piney and lemony, with some soft peach and mango following close behind. Malts take a back seat, as they should in an IPA, and it's just as sweet a it needs to be.

Crisp, piney finish with maybe some rye spice? There's a little alcohol burn as you near the bottoms of the glass.

Overall, this is a crisp, tasty, refreshing IPA with a soft feel.

Free beer - I'm there.
A shipmate brought this back for me.
Poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was slightly a burnt caramel color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated in a graceful respect. Lacing, uh...only slightly there.
The smell had a good grapefruit/citrusy sort of bittersweet hoppiness.
The taste took those bittersweet hops and added a light caramel maltiness to balance.
The mouthfeel was fairly light and sessionable as the bittersweet citrusy aspects roll over my tongue and give it enough prickly feel goods to tell me - yup its an AIPA.
Overall, wish I could get this on a daily basis, if I would I'd be drinking this all of the time.

The beer comes in a reddish strawberry orange color.

The aroma has pine needles, earthy herbal hops, almost a spicy rye note, and a caramel sweetness.

The flavor follows with those herbal and earthy hops in the front, along with a toasted breadiness, and then the beer finishes of dried oak chips. There’s a lot of woody and floral notes, without much hint of fruity hops. There is also not much sweetness here along with a lack of mid palate.

The beer drinks towards a small American barleywine. Not really the flavor profile I’m looking for in an IPA.

From the 12 fl. oz bottle with an expiration date of 07/25/14. Sampled on May 18, 2014.

The pour is a handsome looking copper-amber color with a full cream colored head that slowly settles back and leaves lacing and a ring. A bit of a haze.

The aroma has floral, grass, and citrus hops all over it but at the same time they do not smell overly pungent or bitter. That might be due to the roasted malt character balancing things out. Yet it is enough to know I'm in for a hoppy experience.

Medium body.

The roasted malts start things out in the flavor but the floral and grassy hopes kick in pretty fast and tend to take things over. A nice bitter finale.
