Poured from a 12 oz. can into a shaker pint glass. Best by date: 11/12/13
Poured a clear golden orange with a 1.5 - 2 finger head full of bubbles which lasted a long time; finally leaving a thick sea foam head towards the end.
Tons of citrus and piney aromas coming off of it as soon as I popped the top!
Love the taste! Citrus-grapefruit and citrus rind flavors. Nice bitterness and a hoppy finish.
A nice amount of carbonation on this one.
Really enjoyed this and will definitely seek out more, such an easy drinker it's almost dangerous!

Best before 11/11/2013 - poured from a 12oz bottle into a big water glass.

Brilliantly clear dark orange body with an off white head. Sticky lacing, decent retention.

Aroma is rather subdued; some citrus, orange flowers, and a vague herbal note.

Unfocused smattering of syrupy malt and aggressive but short-lived hop oils. Biscuity and bitter, with a touch of fruit, soap, and earth. Finishes a little sweet for the style.

Almost greasy mouthfeel, though the carbonation is decent and helps-offset the perceived slipperiness.

By no means terrible, but disappointing and overpriced - while I still like this brewery, there is really no place for a sub-par IPA in today's craft beer market.

Bottle: Poured a orangey/bright amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus and light piney notes with lightly sweet malt backbone is quite enjoyable. Taste is a mix between some citrus notes with some light piney and fruity hoppy notes as well as a lightly sweet malt backbone (but no caramel malt which is nice). Body is quite full with good carbonation. Easy drinking with plenty of flavours.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.

A: Pours a clear copper with a one finger white head. Lots of tiny bubble visible in the body. Some lacing as the head dissipates.

S: Hop bitterness dominates the aroma. Malts come through as a fermented type of fruit.

T: Certainly a tasty IPA. Hops hit you at first but arent overly bitter. Malts come back around with a lightness that never let the hops get out of sight. Lingering hop well into the aftertaste. Alcohol is well hidden in the bitterness.

M: Medium body with average carbonation. Sticky resinous mouthfeel to it.

Overall I'm a fan of this IPA. First had it as part of a west coast flight and glad I got another bottle of it. Give it a go if you into hops.

When opening the beer, there was certainly a good blast of citric hops...orange, grapefruit....settling quickly and revealing a spicy note on the nose. Tropical notes as well.

Hazy golden color here....very standard for style.

Taste is fairly citrusy for the most part....some orange perhaps....but certainly has a good amount of hop flavor to it. The malt backbone is present in the rear, peeking through somewhat sweet and providing some balance but staying in the background as it should. Has a thick mouthfeel, so it seems. Bitterness on the end is pretty clean, with only a fair amount of resin lingering after the swallow.

Pretty dang good IPA here actually from a brewery I haven't thought much about. The flavors are there, not overpowering, but present and clean. Very drinkable.

Poured chilled in tall ale glass

A: cloudy darkly pale orange color; modest head; decent carbonation
S: sweet, appealing hop profile; orange and citrus on the front end
T: light-roast barley combined with strong, Citra-like hop bouquet; sweet; not very bitter; well-meshed alcohol content

Very good, solid IPA; worth having multiple times
