Pours a bright copper color into a DFH perfect pint. Good one finger foam retention. Maintains small amount of lacing throughout.

S: Comes off as a citrus fruit basket in a grassy meadow.

T: Citrus burst from the hops with minimal grassy undertones. The malt backbone takes a backseat to the fruit forward taste of mango, lemongrass, and a slight hint of papaya.

M: Mouthfeel was medium and not overly aggressive with the carbonation.

O: A refreshing IPA that highlights a quality IPA from a lesser known brewery on the East Coast. It is crisp and clean especially when fresh, enjoy by date of 9/23/13. A pick that will lead to further exploration of this brewery.

Poured a murky dark copper hue with a two finger frothy white head. There was very good retention and sticky lacing.

The smell featured balmy tropical notes and a touch of caramel.

The taste was dominated by the same soft tropical hops with the addition of piney notes. Earthy sweetness detected as well.

The mouthfeel was round and full for the style.

Overall a tasty round IPA.

Fantastic beer. The hop profile is not particularly complex, and the malt is clean, but deep tasting at the same time with lingering flavors of what I would call peach at the finish. The mouthfeel is utterly smooth and almost creamy. The ABV is pretty high, but you could never tell through taste. At $6.49 a six pack, I think I found my new favorite beer. Thank god it's not a seasonal. Now it comes in cans! I can't wait to try it.

Appearance:
Pours a decent foamy head that leaves quite a bit of lacing. The beer itself is a clear amber color.

Smell:
The hops give off a slightly citrus smell but appears to be grassy. The sweet malts also make an appearance.

Taste:
The hops taste as the smell. The taste is somewhat bitter and grassy while the malts balance out the bitterness a little.

Mouthfeel:
Biting carbonation and medium-bodied.

Overall:
A very good IPA that it isn't too extreme and very well balanced.
