When opening the beer, there was certainly a good blast of citric hops...orange, grapefruit....settling quickly and revealing a spicy note on the nose. Tropical notes as well.

Hazy golden color here....very standard for style.

Taste is fairly citrusy for the most part....some orange perhaps....but certainly has a good amount of hop flavor to it. The malt backbone is present in the rear, peeking through somewhat sweet and providing some balance but staying in the background as it should. Has a thick mouthfeel, so it seems. Bitterness on the end is pretty clean, with only a fair amount of resin lingering after the swallow.

Pretty dang good IPA here actually from a brewery I haven't thought much about. The flavors are there, not overpowering, but present and clean. Very drinkable.

Poured chilled in tall ale glass

A: cloudy darkly pale orange color; modest head; decent carbonation
S: sweet, appealing hop profile; orange and citrus on the front end
T: light-roast barley combined with strong, Citra-like hop bouquet; sweet; not very bitter; well-meshed alcohol content

Very good, solid IPA; worth having multiple times

12oz bottle into a Sam Adams Imperial Pint Glass

Unita's IPA glides into the glass nice without a overabundant head. The liquid is a very clear golden color with a small amount of amber peeking through. The cap is an inch of white foam with decent retention and OK clinging ability. Smell is what you would expect, hopped up nicely with a big malty background. I can smell the alcohol pretty clearly. Some tropical fruit scent coming off and a bready malt bill. Taste is a very hop forward ale with a sweet side to it. The malts come first and than some alcohol, reminding me of some East coast DIPA'S. After that the hops form a bitter seal on the tounge and cling for a good amount. A grassy aftertaste is left and the alcohol stays. feel is right dead center medium and a bit syrupy. Easy drinking beer but a bit rough around the edges.
