Burnt orange color with hop haze. Overpour left little in the possibility for a billowing head. I'll settle for my foam ring.

Aromas are dominated by tropical fruits and some pine. Pineapple and grapefruit most noticeable. Light toast to the malt grains. Has a semi-slanted balance to it.

Canned pineapple, evergreen, grapefruit pith, melon, and light orange. Moderate levels of bitterness. Semi-dry with some oiliness. Intricate flavors scatter from fruit to fruit to flower. Has that snappy plant astringency to it. Hints of peach and lemon. Chalky flavors in the middle. A bit thin, but above-average in the way the carbonation works hard.

Great IPA. Thank you for landing in PA.

Bottled 5/4/12.

Appearance: Pours a clear burnt orange color with about 1/2" of white head and pretty high carbonation. Head retention is pretty good, and lacing is nice as well. Good looking IPA. Nice color on this.

Smell: Definitely some malt character in this one. Very caramelly. Nice citrus component with orange rind, and hints of pineapple. Some florals round out the hop character.

Taste: Again, lots of caramel malt sweetness up front in this beer, followed by florals. Citrus comes next, with some pretty nice mango and pineapple notes. Unfortunately a kick of alcohol on the finish retracts some for me.

Mouthfeel/Overall: Mouthfeel is light-medium nice carbonation, and again the alcohol bite makes me like it a little less. Overall, I probably enjoyed this a bit more than I was expecting. I really enjoyed the dank hop and mango/pineapple notes.

Appearance - Dark golden orange. Cloudy, with some carbonation from the bottom visible. 1-inch head

Smell - Floral hops, citrus.

Taste - Bitter hops, floral stays in the nose. citrus, honey, bitter hops stay in aftertaste

Feel - Medium-heavy. dry (from alcohol), sticky.

Overall - Reminds me quite a bit of Bell's Two-hearted Ale. Hop Notch has about the same ABV and has maybe a little more bitter hop taste. Less balanced, but good. I'd prefer Two-hearted. Hop Notch is almost as good for almost the same price.

This beer was great. Color is a nice clear amber brown with a 1/2 inch of sticky white foam. Smells of fresh harvest hops and a cracker like malt you expect in an IPA. Taste is clean, balanced, and crisp with floral/citrus hops. Malts balance everything out to keep it from being too bitter. Mouthfeel is great for the ABV you don't even notice it's over 7%

Overall I would get this again if I could find a sixer. A pretty stellar IPA.

A - Pours an amber-orange hue with a fair sized pale head. Lacing is average and retention is fair.

S - Hops, floral notes, peppery spice and citrus infused earthy tones round it out.

T - Big hops in this one. A fusion of the two kinds in a nice balance. A malty citrus backbone keeps the beer together with a bitter finish alongside some piney hints. Nothing unbelievable here, yet it does what it strives for well.

M - A medium body with some serious carbonation that I find a bit in excess. It compliments the hops nicely but I would prefer the malts to take a bit more priority than the backseat it takes in this one. Slight oily nature.

O - I really like this one for around $9/sixer. The beer is highly drinkable and well worth picking up if you have yet to enjoy it. It may not be as top-class as some of the more refined brews, but if you are looking for some quality hops at a fair price, look no further.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass. Bears a bottled on date of May 17, 2012. Pours a slightly hazy amber color, with a 1 inch white sticky head. Nice lacing as the head reduces.

The smell is quite interesting, combining floral notes with a peppery spice. Hints of resin and citrus are also present. I don't smell much of the malt at all.

The taste is another story, however. It had a smooth honey malt taste, mild citrus, and a barely present hop bitter finish.

Slightly astringent as you get further into the beer,
it otherwise has a medium mouth feel.

Overall a decent IPA, but not one that I would eagerly seek out again. In some respects, it tastes more like an American pale ale rather than an IPA. I wish I could've had this when it was brand spanking new, to see if the two and one-half months of age had any impact upon its taste.

So i grab this because I have had Dubhe by them and it was delicious.

Great pour and color, very bubbly foamy head on it.

Smell - warm citrus smell. hints of earthy tones

Taste- YUMMY! light bodied, full of flavor, smooth clean finish. It has pine and lemony taste
