Clear and brassy hue, quickly lifts up a tow finger high head of white. Retention is good and it begins to get rocky as the cap of foam settles. Leaves rings of attractive lacing.

Light aroma, clean and crisp grassy hops with citrus and pine backing. Unassuming malt profile lays low providing a bit of neutral sweetness and white bread.

Steel cut grains and toast, minimal sweetness just like the nose. Flavor matches the nose with fresh cut dried grass and a secondary impression of pine. Citrus hits late with a lemony flash, husky grains, slight astringent alcohol in the finish. Aftertaste clings to the pine with moderate bitterness.

Medium body and carbonation. Initial impression is that this beer is crisp and clean with exceptional drying qualities. Alcohol is revealed as the beer warms as are some imperfections in the malt adding some steely astringency.

Good IPA, satisfies the hop itch while excelling in feel and appearance. Aroma is very light and grassy so the piney bitterness in the flavor was a surprise.

look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

A--Pours out of the bottle with a medium head that fades. Color is a gorgeous orange. Leaves thick lacing all around the glass.

S--Fruity hops hit right up front. An orange smell, maybe grapefruit? A touch of pine as well.

T--Definitely packs the hop punch that you'd expect, but not as much as some of the other IPAs that I've had. Can definitely taste the orange, and the pine is a bit more forward in the taste than it was in the nose for me.

M--Medium thickness, and I expected it to be thicker. Pretty easy to throw back a bottle or two.

O--I've generally been impressed with Unita beers, but I've never had an IPA with them. I'm definitely impressed. IPAs generally aren't my style but I found this to be smooth and drinkable. Also of not. label artwork is great, despite the renaming.. I enjoyed mine from a bottle into a pint glass with a best before date of 7/7/14.

Poured in a tulip glass 4-6-14

A- Has a clear deep copper color with a thick and chunky two finger head, as the head recedes it leaves behind nice chunky white lacing all the way around the glass

S- Smells of banana and caramel mixed with some apple

T- The taste is similar to the smell with the addition of bread and grass up front followed by a pineapple finish. It also has a small hint of alcohol at the end.

M- Has what I would call a soft mouth feel with a chewy texture. Very light carbonation that pars well with the taste

O- I like the overall balance of this beer. It starts well and ends well. It also has some complexity to the flavors which creates some interest while drinking it.

Enjoy-

A--Nice golden color.
S--Light smell, crisp.
T--Crisp, hints of orange
M--Very smooth. Not too dry or heavy.
O--Solid IPA

This is my first overall review, and just getting into the beer scene. Started home brewing 7 months ago, and really getting into IPAs.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass

A-Golden in color with a hint of orange. 2 fingers of suds with nice lacing; dissipating slowly.

S-Grapefruit all the way with this one; with some orange peel and lemon as well.

T-Nice malt balance with caramel, citrus fruit shines through.

M-A little light for the alcohol, but lingers on the tongue tip. Nice carbonation.

O-Nice drinker. Lacks the green hop aroma/taste that I enjoy, but has enjoyable malt/fruit flavors. It'd be easy to kick several back though.
