A: A nice looking beer. Gold in color. Clear. Forms a large, fluffy, and stable head. Good amount lacing.
S: Aroma is okay. Some lighter caramel notes mixed with grassy and herbal hops.
T: Taste is simple, but good. Light sweetness. A touch of caramel. More herbal hops. Maybe a touch of pine, but not much.
M: On the lighter side of medium. Moderate bitterness. Appropriate carbonation.
O: Not a bad beer. A good everyday drinker, but not one I'd bother seeking out.

Poured a nice clear amber with a half finger white head that receded to a ring of white and left nice lacing down the glass. It's a good looking American IPA, entirely true to style. Scents of citrus, mostly grapefruit and some pineapple, grassy hops, a bit of floral hops a very faint hint of pine and a bit of caramel malt sweetness. It's a good, standard West Coast IPA scent, very on style for an American IPA. Taste begins with piney hops, some floral hops sustained throughout, moving into some grapefruit pith on the middle of the sip. A nice caramel malt sweentess also balances the bitter hops in the background throughout the sip. Aftertaste is bitter with slight floral notes. As the beer warms the hop profile becomes dominated by grapefruit with slight floral notes. The flavor is like the aroma, very true to style, well crafted and hoppy, a good West Coast American IPA flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, and a bit drying a finish with a slight alcohol burn. Quite nice, true to style, with maybe a bit more alcohol burn than most American IPAs. Overall this is a very good American IPA, it fits the style perfectly and is just a nice good American IPA. Given it's price this will probably become my go-to IPA.

12 oz. can purchased at Franklin's Brewery & General Store in Hyattsville, MD., unknown bottling date but enjoy by 11/12/13, poured into my Weyerbacher tulip glass, drank 10/25/13 over an hour.
A: 2/3 - golden-orange coloration, moderate clarity (can see but not read through), initial frothy white head resolves into 1/2-1 finger head, moderate alcohol legs which re-agitates the carbonation on swirling
S: 9/12 - lots of citrus fruit - grapefruit, pineapple, apricot and tangerines - hop character likely from "C" hops, very little dank/piney hop character; although the hops predominate, there is a caramel/biscuit malt character detectable for balancing
T: 14/20 - on the anterior tongue, Florida citrus fruit bitterness and flavors are most apparent; it the middle of the mouth, there's a mild bitterness with some caramel sweetness that starts to emerge; mild-to-moderate sweetness on the back end but overall dry, little aftertaste
M: 4/5 - medium body with some hop oils sitting on the tongue, some alcohol fullness but easy tio drink and doesn't taste like 7.3% ABV; high carbonation that does not detract from the flavor profile
O: 7/10 - solid single IPA from an excellent brewery
TOTAL = 36/50
