12oz, canned 12/05/2022
On the pour a fizzy but solid white head forms at about 1 finger or a little bit more, and starts receding immediately, but not too quickly. Body is a light straw with a touch of haze. Light spidery lacing forms.
Aroma is very bright with some light notes of dry citrus and pear, likely the hops and yeast character mingling, backed by an even lighter fresh white bread aroma.
Taste brings all the character from the aroma, but allows for each part to shine. At first the citrus comes through, clearly from hops, but in a very light, bright, and subtle way, with the slightly sweet pear of the yeast creeping in immediately after. A pale malty flavor, similar to pilsner but sweeter, is present throughout, but really makes itself known in the second half, taking over the flavor for a nice soft, but refreshing finish.
Feel is dry and drinkable, and very close to, but not quite crisp. The body is quite full and the esters from the ale yeast, while not like American or English ales by any means, do bost body slightly beyond true lager territory. But this is still a very drinkable and refreshing light beer that to most would likely be interchangeable with a pale lager.
Overall, this was a very nice surprise. A tasty true to style kolsch that is light but balanced with appropriate & subtle, but present hop, yeast, and malt flavors and aromas. Maybe a touch on the bready doughy side to be a true kolsch but none the less, a solid interpretation of the style.

At this point I’m biased to this beer. Anytime I’m in Fairbanks I make sure I grab a glass. It has set the bar very high as far as kolsch beers go. I do quite a bit of traveling all over the state and this beer is a must try if you’re in the Fairbanks area. By far the best one you’ll have!
Taste notes:
Vibrant yellow color (a little hazy)
Smell hits you immediately lmalmost like a fresh cereal.
Taste is malty, light, and crisp and finishes clean.
Goes great with just about any food. Good lawn mowing beer.

No head, balanced translucent color
Smell is similar to a Vienna lager, but with slightly more hops
Taste is smooth yet complex, mainly of malt characters and some hops and a grapey taste
Overall very easy to drink yet has interesting flavor, would recommend
