Poured this Hefeweizen from a 1.9 pt bottle into a pint glass. This German Hefe poured a slightly hazy orangish color. This is a beer that I was able to drink fresh in Munich- This traditional hefeweizen has been in production since 1363. Produces a average white head and leaves behind a nice amount of lacing. The aroma is very vibrant and strong....upon opening you get a nice strong smell of yeasty banana, and clove. The taste of this hefeweizen is wonderful....so creamy...it hardly seems like it could be a beer- Light in body, There is a very nice wheat flavor that is complimented by cloves and orange citrus. Strong taste of creamy banana throughout this hefe. The finish is great, a slight hop bitterness and dry. If you are looking for an authentic German Hefeweizen....This is your pick....Wonderful beer that has stood the test of time.
