This is my go-to beer when I am smoking, it has such an overpowering yeasty/lemony flavor that it gets through, yet it is so light bodied and refreshing, and it is meant to be drunk really cold so it soothes the throat.
As with all wheat beers the trouble is getting too big a head, not to small, and this is a beautiful beer, the head stays as you drink it which is something that I like. The smell is almost entirely from that funky banana/clovey yeasty smell. The taste is the same for such a light bodied brew it has some serious flavor, lots of banana, yeast, and clove. Mouthfeel is very light which is to be expected. If it were not from the protein from the yeast this could practically be chugged, yet with all the delicate flavors that is hardly the correct way to treat it.
If you are looking for a hefeweisse with flavor this is the easiest one to find, I don't have much experience with other beers in this style however this is a great beer and with summer coming up this is the time to be drinking it.
