Brown 12 oz botte labeled "Weissbier" instead of the 16.9 oz foil topped "Hefe-weisse" bottles I usually buy. I did some forum searching and I'm fairly certain these two beers are one in the same, just different labels. Poured into a 16 oz. pilsner glass.
A - Cloudy golden color. Nice white frothy, soapy head.
S - Belgian yeast, bannanas, bubble gum, clover, and some light spice.
T - Same as the aroma. Some nice carbonation makes the yeast and wheat flavors very refreshing. The spice and bannana tie it all together. Light yet flavorable.
O - Its not super complex, but its well balanced and simple. Refreshing as all hell, readily available, and always well priced. One of my favorites.

Tap at tavern in the square in Northborough.
Nice creamy rich 1 Finger head fades at a med pace then retains well at the bottom, super hazy murky cloudy carrot orange color.
Nose typical hefe, lots of creamy wheat, plenty of citrus and mild orange peel, some spices clove hint coriander, some banana esters, etc.
Taste brings more of the same, basic Bavarian hefe, creamy wheat, not really toasted wheat just clean creamy base, with some light citrus and orange zest, touch tangy. Into esters, banana, clove spices, little coriander, etc. Finish is creamy sticky but dry, bit more spices, banana esters, and orange zest.
Mouth is med bod, creamy, decent carb.
Overall nice hefe, typical Bavarian hefe but not amazing. Nice summer hot day beer.

Scorching hot weekday in NC, what better way to take the edge off at the end of a long day than a good Hefe from the Fatta-land.
A beautiful pour with a nuclear mushroom cloud of a bright, tight white head. Pure hazy golden beauty with minimal bubbles. It smells nice and rich with the yeasty signature of banana and cloves prevelant over a malty base. The taste is very nice with a very strong malt backbone, the signature yeasty flavors following he nose and very little bitterness at all. It's fullbodied and goes down wetly, very satisfying.
Overall, a great Hefe, right up there with Weihenstaphan in my book. A perfect summer thirst quencher. Time to change into my leiderhosen.
