Bottle into my La Chouffe Belgian (Just because I bought it at the same time and wanted to use it).
Pours a deep yet hazy straw yellow with plenty of frothy, sticky head. Sediment is apparent as it separates in the glass, spreading its yeasty goodness. Plenty of retention and lacing on the glass. Great!
Aromas of wheat, banana and clove. Slight hints of citrus and floral presence. Typical, but well done Hefe.
Delivers on the nose. A lot of sweet banana, nut and spice. Slight floral hops in the way back. Yeast presence becomes more apparent as it warms, complemented by just a tad bit of lemon.
Medium bodied with a nice creamy consistency. Great session beer.
Overall, a tried and true Bavarian Hefe. Nothing mind shattering, just a very well done classic. Cheers!
