Had a pint of this on tap at Willimantic Brewing in Willimantic, CT. Red and semi-cloudy with a very subtle taste to it... a bit lacking. However, it does hint at a beautiful roasted nut flavor with a great strong bitter aftertaste. The flavor of this unfortunately becomes a bit muddled as you continue drinking. This is a good beer, but Spaten makes better, and while I would still recommend this, it's not the best Spaten i've ever had.

Pours translucent amber with 1/2 inch of off-white head that fades to a thin cap on top and leaves nice spotty lace.
Smell is somewhat muted and consists of grainy malt, Autumn spices and faint citrus.
Taste is of grains and malt with accents of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg with faint tart citrus on the finish.
Texture is medium bodied with high carbonation.
A decent, if not remarkable, effort. Easy drinking and sessionable.
