A-Golden amber, with a little fuzzy white head. Needs more head! I like head! Leaves decent lacing despite the fact that there really wasn't much to have put it on the sides of the glass. Interesting.
S-Malt, caramel, ginger and cinnamon. Just as it was last year! I give them props for repeatability.
T- Malty, nutty, smooth and clean.
M-Light to medium, its a nice relaxing brew, and since I'm German as they come, its part of my yearly duty to buy this beer.
D- VERY Drinkable. Going downstairs for another one right now. Has a little bit of a cloying sticky finish but guess what, the next one will take care of that!
As far as traditional practice is concerned for this brew, I feel that its a little bit toned down and geared towards the general public. It is the best selling Oktoberfest Marzen six pack at my store, with the only other better selling Okto-Marz being Ayinger; I see this brew as a good way to introduce people to the style and tradition.
This is the 200th annual Oktoberfest in Bavaria, PROST!

Pours translucent amber with 1/2 inch of off-white head that fades to a thin cap on top and leaves nice spotty lace.
Smell is somewhat muted and consists of grainy malt, Autumn spices and faint citrus.
Taste is of grains and malt with accents of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg with faint tart citrus on the finish.
Texture is medium bodied with high carbonation.
A decent, if not remarkable, effort. Easy drinking and sessionable.
