A great beer that I had the pleasure of trying as a young man. Looks cloudy when you pour it into a glass like what you would imagine bread would look like if it came in liquid form. When I smell this beer all I can think about is a bakery with a hint of fruitiness. Beer tastes great with very little bitterness light carbonation. The people behind the bar always offer a slice of orange and I always decline, though I have met a few people that enjoy it that way. If you like this style of beer give this one a try.

Quite nice weissbier. Had it on tap at Barley Cargo in downtown Athens, Greece.

Nice aroma, good taste, very drinkable.

Would definitely get it again on occasion.

Appearance: Very thick, foamy head. Has a cloudy, golden color when poured. When poured, the carbonation is visible. Has a very intriguing and beautiful appearance.

Smell: Has notes of mild banana, wheat, and yeast. The yeasty notes I would describe as being earthy and some clove spices. There were some citrus notes although they were not as noticeable as the other aromas.

Taste:I enjoyed how the flavor of this beer followed closely to its aroma. It had notes of banana and clove spices. There were also obvious wheat and citrus flavors that added more depth to the beer's flavor. It was however a little too sour for my personal taste. Overall, the flavors (despite the sourness) were well balanced.

Mouthfeel: You could both see and feel the carbonation of the beer, which added to the crispiness of the beer. Besides carbonation, the beer was very light and refreshing.

Overall, the flavors in this beer were delicious and combined together to create a very refreshing beer. Although I found the banana flavor to add some tartness and sourness, the wheat, clove spices, and citrus helped balance the beer. I would recommend this beer!

Pours two fingers of head on a clear lighter straw body.
The aroma is mild banana, other fruits and dry grains.
The taste has the normal wheat flavor, mild fruit sweetness, and a short mild bitter finish.
The texture is crisp.
A nicely done weissbier.

Look: This beer is beautiful, cloudy-golden with a nice head
Smell: To me the smell was a little bit impenetrable, a strong banana aroma with a hint of citrus.
Taste: This is basically what any banana or "monkey" beer wishes it was. Strong tropical ester presence that doesn't become cloying but rather leaves one begging for more.
Feel: Good carbonation, nice body, overall hard to discredit.
Overall: This is damn good beer, having been a fan of "banana" oriented beers for some time this came as a revelation to just how timeless and enduring the style could be.

Thin head, disappeared quickly. Light scent of banana. Surprisingly smooth for a hefe. Taste is primarily of banana, fruit, and a touch of vanilla. Light carbonation, very drinkable.

Overall milder than I was expecting, but surprisingly smooth.

Real thick head on this hazy yellow beer. Head takes forever to die down. Super retention. Aroma is to be expected, wheat, banana, clove.

Taste, lots of banana, clove and bandaid phenols. Base of wheat % stays on your teeth, never heavy though. Grapefruit here although not hop derived.

Pretty traditional hefe product here.

L: Pours hazy amber color with thick head 1.5-2 fingers tall.
S: Rich smell of malts and hops with green banana up front.
T: It's very tasty and fruity, a bit sweet, a bit sour and banana of course. Good balanced.
F: Full-bodied and crispy.
O: Great bear. It was quite a pleasure to drink it. Its taste remained with me for next few days.

P.S. Had it from tap. Bottled version is not that perfect.

Pours a beautiful deep gold with a giant creamy head that will overflow over your glass. Smells just as it tastes, citrusy and floral. Mild carbonation and a well balanced flavor overall highlight this well crafted wheat beer.

Quite a lot of carbonation. Typical wheat beer with lemon and grapefruit undertones and a minuscule ammoniacal nose feel. A touch metallic in taste, leaving a friction on the tongue. These flavours linger well after drinking. My opinion is that this beer is better with food than on its own. Pairs very well with fish.

From a bottle. Warning, I find this style drinkable and moderately refreshing but rarely notably enjoyable.
Very large and durable white head over a slightly hazy Amber body.
Light body with near medium carbonation that's softer than expected.
Moderate banana and lightly spicy.

Super cloudy, dark gold color. The bartender needed to approach the tap three times before he could serve it because the foam was so dominant. It lasts, leaving a ring of lace on the glass.

Plenty of banana, nutmeg and clove. Excellent for the style.

Creamy body and flavor. Chewy. The banana comes through but is a bit soured. The finish is more cream with a lingering effervescence. A bit of sweetness is showing on the second tasting b

Truly one of the most excellent weissbier readily available to just about everybody, this beverage remains flavorful and refreshing throughout the glass or bottle. Light and malty with a distinct wheaty flavor that's neither too sweet nor too plain, further down the bottle, the more distinct the bolder, denser flavors become. I'll admit I've left one out for an hour or more by mistake and even that scarcely diminished its flavor.

This is a beautiful example of a hefeweizen. It forms a giant creamy white head, so much so that you have to be careful how you pour it. The head coarsens as it slowly settles, and leaves impressive lacing wherever it goes. The beer itself is a nice deep gold color, cloudy with the requisite yeast sediment. The nose is dominated by the characteristic hefeweizen banana/clove spice, with hints of orange and wheat notes. On the palate it is a bit malty, with a clean wheat flavor that is joined by hints of spice and a bit of bitter citrus. The finish is the same, with the citrus bitterness lingering a bit. The light body and creamy texture make this a very smooth-drinking beer, while a lively carbonation keeps your attention.

Cloudy and hazy straw colour with dense white head of tight foam. Very pleasant banana, biscuit with very mild malt aroma profile. This beer has a great mild malt middle and a toffee finish. Really very good with great aroma and lovely taste.

There's just something magical about the clove/banana signature of a well done hefeweizen that sings to me.

Hazy orange in color, has almost a sparkling orange juice like appearance. Great carbonation, very refreshing. Head forms easily but recedes fairly soon. A quick swirl of the glass remedies this.

Clove and banana on the nose as well as a yeasty quality. The flavor follows this aroma profile, with a spiced quality that I found appealing. No residual bitterness.

A 500ml Euro bomber poured into a dimpled glass mug (a very pretty sight).

Appearance - The look and color of a hazy cider. A big foamy head that disapates after a bit.

Smell - Fruity. Sour.

Taste - Big banana flavor. Slightly sweet. Slightly sour. A mildly acidic finish.

Mouth - Zesty yet buttery.

Overall - A qaulity German Weissbier. Chugable. A little simplistic, however. Yet another InBev product that, in an attempt to be all things to all people, comes up a little short.

Color = darker than average.
Smell = refreshing - lightly yeastie.
Taste = "thickish"
Feel = fuller than the average Hefeweizen - which is a good thing...in the Winter.
After taste = smooth and not a harsh bite.

Format: standard German 500mL macro brown bottle and standard label.

Appearance: pours a deep, cloudy amber with a big and fluffy head per the style. Drops to a finger or so of creamy pure white. Decent lacing down the glass.

Aroma: banana, cloves and spices, quality wheat and yeasts. Smells exactly as a traditional German hefe ought.

Aroma: some citrus joins the characteristics on the nose - quite a nice addition. All told a well-rounded flavour profile.

Taste: all of those flavours come through on the finish. Quite sweet, with a pleasant yeast and alcohol warmth.

Aftertaste: again spot-on. Medium in body with a full feel and decent moderate carbonation.

Mouth feel: a case of 20 x 500mL is AU$75, so an equivalent case of 24 x 330mL would be around AU$59. pretty good for a beer of this calibre.

Overall: a great quality traditional German Hefeweizen from one of their best breweries in my opinion. A good selection of flavours with a touch of citrus thrown in for good measure. A great price too at AU$75 a case of 20 x 500mL.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tapered pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains bananas, wheat, light caramelized malts, some citrus and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of wheat and a hearty but not too heavy malt character followed by sweet flavors of bananas, caramel and citrus. The hops presence is mild but complementary and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, mild kick, very representation of style, this is a nice beer to pound down for a long time if you’re in the mood for the style.

Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale glass.

Cloudy looking orange with hints of light lemon yellow on the edges. Roaring huge amounts of micro fine and fast rising carbonation. The head is just booming off the pour like a classic German hefe. Thick white frothy fistfull head, tall as a mountain, and settling with big shampoo and superfine thin whipped bubbles, bleach white and large.

Solid nose. Huge peanut butter aromas, and good fine clove phenol spicy quality. Seems to neglect hints of chewy malt wheat character or even hints of banana, and lemon. Solid, inviting and still to character.

Palate delivers real nicely. Chewy malts really seem to blast right on first sip, but the mouthfeel lowers in body as you drink. Big yeasty esters hit with lots of sharp perfect spice. Hints of herbality but not even from hop, more of the ester goes to clove, and a hot almost bitter spicy character. Dense. Light hints of lemon peak out on the aftertaste but really get pushed out by hot brown spice character and a very surprising nutty character.

Simple, with a nice unique character to match. Very fun hefeweizen.
