Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. Amber colour, large head, slightly off-white. Nice aroma of banana, bubblegum and cloves, possibly slightly oxidised, but not disturbing. The flavour has notes of berries / jam, banana and cloves, a little caramel too.

Cloudy gold on the pour with ample head and some lacing. Smooth taste with a hint of banana. Good brew!

Franziskaner Royal is in a way the equivalent to Tap7 by Schneider. Slightly darker than regular Franziskaner Hefe, more carbonation, a taste which is not as soft and sweet but more robust and upstanding than the Original. At 6% ABV it is not particularly light, not really sessionable. I like it a lot, however my everyday choice will probably remain the Original..

A unique beer, had it poured at a Franziskaner beer hall in Munich. Nice!
Amber lager with wheat and caramel tones. A little candy sweet feeling with vanilla and fruity esters, with a clean bready malt body.
Feel is smooth and moderate bodied, with a nice finish.
Glad I could have a glass of this here! I haven't seen it in the states.

This beer is my cup to of tea with banana undertones. It tastes better in the beginning compared to the middle of the bottle when the tongue has adjusted to the sweetness. Then you get slight sour-citrus flavors. There's a small head and quick lacing. I'm not a fan of carbonation, but this beer has a little that's not too overwhelming. It's light and easy to drink.

From Saveur Biere. In Bavaria hefe glass. Watching Tomorrowland. More a weizenbock than a hefe. Nothing to envy a Vitus, I think I even enjoy it more, which is surprising coming from ABI. 2 months after BBF date

L: Great looking beer pours an amber honey
S: Banana split, vanilla, yeasty, bready, fresh cut grass, clean, crisp,
T: Pretty good taste but was expecting more flavor, a little lackluster
F: I feel like this is to carbonated, a little to prickly for my liking, goes down smooth but would like something a little smoother for a hefeweizen.
O: Very drinkable beer, worth a try!
