A: Huge, fluffy, off-white head that's slow in dissipating. A solid layer of foam lasts during the entire drinking session. Long, steady streams of bubbles rise to the top of the weizen glass, but the carbonation is not overly active. This lacking effervesence adds to the color presentation of the brew, a murky dark brown when away from light. Held up to a source of illumination, the eyes are greated by a wonderful show of a dense brown "core" with lighter amber tracings along the sides.
S: The dominant scent is of the characteristically spiced, mildly tart yeast. The dark malt sweetness gives the slightest impression of figs or molasses. There's a bit of mustiness hiding in the corner, that gives a bit more depth to the beer.
T: Sweet, spiced wheat-malt flavor. Some banana and cloves from the yeast, dominant flavor being the slightly dark/roasted malt character.
M: Medium body with a mild carbonation profile that produces some gently bubbling in the mouth. Dry, tart finish with a bit of fruitiness that concludes the tasting quite well.
D: Pleasant scent, interesting taste attributes, and a mild mouthfeel all make this dunkel wiesse quite enjoyable time and again.

I bought a 500 ml bottle at a Lidl store in Portugal. Poured it into a pils glass, causing a 2 inch head that settled to 1 inch foam. Warm, fresh aroma. Taste is a little disappointing — a little but of caramel and yeast. Not very interesting. The mouthfeel was promising at first, but it was followed by a bland aftertaste. Was expecting more from a monastery logo ale. Tastes more like mass-market output.

500ml bottle, 5,0%ABV, poured in a Weissenglass at around 6 celcius.
Colour , rusty brown to with a 2-3 finger head, dense white foam.
Light carbonation, creamy lacing.
Smell: not very strong, some burnt nuts and sweet caramel.
Mouthfeel: Very smouth and creamy, smell tingle of carbonation
Taste: soft notes of nut and burnt bread, not too yeasty, nice not too sweet caramel development, with a lovely note of almost dark choclate like bitterness in the aftertaste.
Very pleasant beer, easy to drink.

enjoyed at pony bar, hamburg, this is one i’ve wanted to try for a long time, quite a nice dunkelweizen, nice rich malty flavour mixed with the wheaty estery flavours, on the sweeter side, drinkable, pretty good

00ml. bottle in Mae Kasa, Thailand. Pours a cloudy red/brown with a reddish white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits. Tastes very roasty, malty, biscuity. Medium carbonation that settles. A pleasant but prickly mouthfeel. A good, solid, well-balanced Dunkel.
