Went there around 2 in the afternoon on Friday 5/15/09. Parking was a little hard to find as all the spots close to the store were taken up. I did manage to find a little spot but was not sure how legal it was so I made sure not to be gone for too long. Once inside the store I was amazed by the big selection of beers. Lots of single beers I've never heard of. Had to kind of just stand back and take it all in. Was kind of let down by the six-pack selection as it was the usual stuff you'd find anywhere (miller, corona, etc.) What was nice is that they have empty six pack holders to fill with singles. (and they offer 10% off one of the beers if you buy 6) I ended up spending $18 which is expensive for a six pack but I figure if I bought those six different beers sitting at a bar it would probably cost $30. Didn't speak to the workers much other then asking if they took credit, which they do.

My daughter moved into an apartment a block away. After parking the car and walking back to the apt, we noticed a small corner store with lighted beer signs in the window. Intrigued, we walked in and, behold, a cramped area with a nice selection of single beers grouped into different countries. It was a pleasant surprise and have been back a number of times and been to the Northern Liberties location also which has a bigger selection.

Stopped in here a few days ago while in the area for an event. Figured it was only a few blocks away, might as well check it out.
Atmosphere was just like others have mentioned, it is pretty much a cross between a corner bodega and a bottle shop. It is really cramped and you have to walk around numerous objects to get anywhere. Quality was ok, nothing amazing, some of the bottles looked pretty old. Service was pretty good, I had two different people ask if I needed any help. Selection was decent for the size of the space but nothing amazing. Only one or two things I would have gotten had the prices been reasonable, which they certainly were not.
Overall an ok bottle shop in the heart of the city. If I lived in the area I might check it out every now and then to see what they have but I doubt I will return.

The foodery is a conveience store turned little beer store. Cramped. Very cramped couldn't move in there if your their with one or more customers. Beer selection is ok but couldn't get any better since its so small. Theres no parking what so ever, I just went when I had my City vehicle and double parked ( the perks of driving a City of Philadelphia Vehicle.) It's a bit pricey, rather go to Craft beer outlet in NE Philly. Probably will never go here again. Just went a couple of times since I worked in South Philly but wont be heading back.
