This beer pours a golden amber with light head that subsides rather quickly. The smell is of a Belgian style Tripel but very dry. At only 8% it should not be very hard to blend all of the flavor of the beer with the alcohol, but this doesn't. Its dryness kills me. Not impressed.

Bottle: Poured a light copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light sugar with some nice Belgian malt and some light fruity ester. Taste is a well balance mix between some light candi sugar with some Belgian malt with light fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well done but lacking some ester and hops are a bit lost ion the mix.

A: It is a nice golden pour with virtually no head and no sustained lacing... although it does, momentarily, leave tiny bubbles on the inside of the glass as you drink it.
S: The main note is the alcohol. There are other flavors, but the mind always drifts back to the alcohol smell.
T: The taste was 3 stages. At first, it tasted like an average tripel.. which was nice. Next you taste alcohol which cancels out any goodness previously experienced. Then you follow up with a very dry taste/mouth. I personally do not mind the dryness as much as others, but this beer was similar to drinking port in the taste.
M: The beer is moderately smooth with a medium body and tiny bubble for carbonation
D: If it didnt taste of alcohol and was more balanced, this beer would be easier to drink.
