Gorgeous tawny brown with ruby highlights. Off-white head stays throughout leaving some lacing.
Rich, bready malt dominates the nose, with a lovely supporting earthy hoppiness. Just lovely stuff.
Medium full in the mouth, with a very clean linear maltiness. Wonderfully complex, long and compelling. Great beer! I could drink a lot of more of this than I should.

A nice little brew, along the lines of a winter warmer in the lager class.
Another nice pour, a clear and deep mahogany brown (hey, it matches the bar wood), a smallish ivory head sat on top.
Again, the aromas were weak, very minute malt with a winter spice kick. But the taste was much better, a raspy woody flavor with the spices intermixed. Clove and nutmeg were there, but did not overstay their welcome in the finish.
Dry and crisp, a very nice brew that I believe will return next winter. Still plenty left for this season.
