Pours a very dark ruby with good head with lots of lacing on the way down. Nose is yeasty with a slight sweet tone. Flavor is bordering on wooden with a metallic aftertaste and a slight bitter tone. Feel is pretty good, just slightly above average - no doubt due to the fact it is off the tap. This is worse than I remember it being on bottles (though the bottle did get a lower score) and wouldn't have gone for it if there were better choices in the crappy airport bar I was in.
Serving type: on-tap

Brand new beer tonight. Picked up from Wally World. $7.28/6-pack. Lets see if this Bock rocks.
Appearance - in 12 oz glass bottle.
Smell - caramel rolls, a juicy bloody steak (yep?), buttered vegetables. It could be a full course meal plus dessert. Oh and the usual light floral hoppiness. Oh! And its got that Rolling Rock thing going on... the sour ale smell. There's a lot to talk about here.
Taste - refreshing with character and the right balance of hops and bitters. Tasty. Metallic finish. Tastes almost nothing like it smells though.
Mouthfeel - crisp and refreshing. Flows like a river. Reminds me of Coors' mouthfeel, just a little more full-bodied. I could go without the metallic aftertaste though. Does melt pleasantly syrupy after the wash is gone.
Overall - it's got a good thing going. I don't know if I would pay the $7.28 for a sixer again unless I really got a craving for it. This beer is pleasant to drink however and is definitely worth a try.
