Poured from bottle into pint glass.
Pours a medium dark brown with no foam. Light malty smell - kind of a sweeter caramel smell. Light sweet malt taste - a little bland and with no carbonation. Mild and uneventful. Some cola flavor in there. Just enough bubbles to let you know its not the wort. But just Ok at best.

Overall it was ok, but the mouthfeel kinda ruined it for me.
The appearence was dark but hardly any head or lacing. Probally due to the flatness of the beer itself. The bottle had some interesting little tid bits and I enjoy that kind of stuff.
Taste was fine for the style, nothing amazing, but average and drinkable. Highly malty with a small hint of hops.
Very watery mouthfeel, with too low of carbonation.

12oz. bottle served into a pint glass
Pours a nutty, caramel-brown color. It's very clear, with plenty of visible carbonation rising to the top of the glass. There it becomes a head that gets to about one finger before diminishing to a thin ring. It's pretty dark for a lager; it's basically in Marzen territory. Maybe darker.
Shiner Bock smells of sweet grain husks and commercial honey, like from a bear-shaped plastic bottle. Some grass-clippings hops are here too, but they are distant. It's mostly like a slightly-more-amber-malt smelling version of Miller High Life.
This beer is not good. It tastes very cheap: chalky yet sweet grain flavors, some vaguely metallic hops. It's crisp, sure, but finishes like I licked a traffic sign.
The mouthfeel is fine, I guess. It's got a fine body to it. The beer has a sweet mouthfeel but the hop character clashes with it. Overall, this beer is a pretty pathetic bock. It's not tasty at all. I feel like Padma Lakshmi when she was tentatively drinking Shiner Bock on season 9 of Top Chef. I feel you, Padma. I feel you.

Shiner Bock is my favorite daily beer. With that in mind I will try to be fair on this review. I have had it countless times on tap and in bottle but for this review I am using a bottle poured into a pint glass.
A- Light brown with a short 1 finger head that dissipates extremely fast with hardly any lacing at all.
S- Heavy on a breadiness smell. It also has some sweet caramel malt.
T- Sweet, but not as strong of a flavor as you may expect. It is actually very light tasting.
M- Again, very light, not much for mouth feel.
O- Overall this is an easy to drink beer that I enjoy quite a bit. Nothing earth shattering by any means but it's something that makes me smile and I find myself drinking it more than any other brew.
